We thought this place was brilliant. There is a lovely visitors centre and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable of the area and advised us on specific walks.
The centre has clean toilet facilities and a very welcoming cafe with a limited menu selection but all reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking although I could imagine gets very busy in the height of the summer.
I would highly recommend this as a day out, the view of the damm is spectacular. Ideal for keen walkers, dog owners and lots of little trails for kids.
A nice, large, visitor centre with friendly staff and lots to see and buy. A good range of free leaflets about the area too. A nice gift shop and cafe. There's good disabled access, an audio-visual show and exhibition, and a marvellous relief map for the blind and visually impaired to feel (I wish more places would make things like this). A fantastic place to visit first to orientate yourself before choosing a walk at one of the nearby lakes.
