No English menu, but the owner/cook and waiter had OK English and were extremely friendly and enthusiastic.
No Belgian beer! In fact, only one kind of beer at all: Ottakringer.
The food, which I guess was heavily French, was absoluately amazing. Lots of shrimp (with heads attached), but something about it was just unexpectedly delicious. The desserts were also amazing, and ours were served with flaming alcohol for a little flair.
Place was deserted on a Friday night, but had a pretty large seating capacity. The restaurant comprises multiple small/medium rooms, and natural wood paneling on the walls and a well-worn wood parquet floor provided the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the men's bathroom looked and smelled like a gas station bathroom in a zombie movie. If I hadn't visited that, I'd easily award 4 stars and consider 5.
