We visited el faro upon a recommendation from our hotel. This place was extremely pretentious. Keep in mind that we did not eat at the bar. When we arrived there were several people standing around a bar eating tapas. We were ushered into a formal dining room not realizing that there may have been a more casual option. Perhaps the bar was primarily for locals... Regardless, the waitstaff were quite cold and the atmosphere very stuffy. We are drawn to a warm, welcoming atmosphere and El Faro did not offer this.
