Came here last night for some karaoke after the pubs closed. It was a very surreal experience - so surreal in fact I'm sure these place only appears for a few days a year, like Mr Benn's magical costume shop.
Surreal but brilliant - they keep serving drink until 2am, everyone was there to have a good time, and I got mistaken for Eddie Izzard. In a more organised less ramshackle place it would have been annoying that only one microphone worked but they kept giving them both to unwitting guests for them to do duets, but here it was funny.
I did funky cold medina. Afterwards everyone was quiet for a few seconds. I think they must have been shocked into silence by my stupendous brilliance...

I have walked past this place many a time and wondered what it was like inside...especially because of it's rather dubious appearance from the outside.
Eat & Drink looks like the type of place where although it's kinda scuzzy, the food could very well be totally amazing because oriental people eat there. Sadly, this was not the case.
Had I not been part of a large work party, I would have turned on my heel and walked straight out. But endure it I must, so I sat through a set menu (B, if you're wondering) and picked at the dishes.
It was just about edible, but nothing was like...mmm, that is really tasty, especially for the price. It was just all a bit mediocre.
That said, a lot of other people within the group did enjoy it (or so it seemed) and it seemed to get some people coming in to eat and sing at the karaoke/bar.. which is also the entrance, so perhaps I'm just a tad harder to please.

They forgot to bring me my drink.
They served me raw lamb. It wasn't supposed to be raw.
My companion's food went cold suspiciously quickly. Upon closer inspection it just hadn't been adquately heated through.
Luckily there are a ton of brilliant restaurants around here that are all far superior. Do not come here to eat. Or drink. Since it failed on both counts. I don't think there's much more that needs to be said.

Artillery Row has slowly been surrounded by new developments and absorbed into the city. For as long as I can remember the Eat & Drink Chinese has been there. It has changed at all. The food is good and you often see Chinese dining which is always a good sign. The decor is seventies and the service friendly but not attentive. Famously in the bar area they have karaoke, it drives me to stick to lunch times but if singing with the staff in a windowless dingy bar is your thing, off you go :)
