It's a very busy and popular pub very friendly staff and unbelievable value for money we had two meals and two drinks for only £5.30 but we had to wait almost an hour for are food! Overall very good and we will definitely eat here regularly from now on.
A typical carveryFood that has been left out under heating lights so that the food is bland and unappetising.
I watched them put it out from the car park. It was there for about 30 minutes before opening time, just drying out. The vegetables dripping in the water in which they had been boiled. I am sure that if you boil your sprouts for two days, they couldn't taste any worse.
This is a great pub to go to on a Sunny Sunday - the carvery is great value and they don't skimp on the portions. For a party of six, we had food and a round of drinks for £30. It's also right next to the Worcester and Birmingham canal so while you wait for your food to go down, you can watch the narrow boats slowly drift by. Or, if you're feeling more energetic, take a stroll along the canal. A great way to spend a Sunday.
the best place for a carvery in the local area. Well worth booking in advance so that you are not disappointed. Situated on the banks of the canal its a great place to stop for a drink on a sunny evening. You can stroll along the canal bank before or after dinner. prices are reasonable.
Good honest pub grub. The carvery isn't as good as under the last management but is still way better than your "chain" pub fare. I'd recommend this for a summers evening or mid week lunch and definitely book in advance as it does busy! You get what you pay for and the carvery is good value for money. The setting is idylic.
My family love going here. Good value for money, mright on the canal - so perfect for a short walk afterwards admiring the narrowboats. They have plenty of choice of vegetables and often cater for coach parties because they are so popular.
This is a great place to come for a carvery. It is such good value and has been recommended to me by so many friends and family. Not too hard to get to either, they have their own carpark so parking is not a problem either.
