The Dundee Train Station is pretty great for the area. It's perfectly situated to be walking distance from anywhere you want to go to or from in Dundee. There's a lot of construction going on around it - on every side - but it's still easy to access via foot, taxi, or car. It's staffed on a regular basis from morning to evening with friendly staff to answer any questions you have - which is absolutely necessary if you didn't grow up around this train system. (Boy, do I have a story for you about a train ticket mess up...)
They also have a little cafe that's open limited hours and free WiFi.
Grubby, run down, a little bit scary. Difficult stairs with luggage and very small lift. Parking tough too.
Contrary to a previously negative review of the station, my partner and I found Dundee Station to be a very pleasant experience. Although whilst not the most attractive of buildings, there are some highlights including the rest room facilities, glass house waiting room and a WH Smith which wants to sell so much it has to expand outwards into the hall.
