Woooah DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
I am actually quite impressed by their incompetence...I didn't know anyone could be that stupid and manage to hold down a job(!)
One of our sponsors used this company to send some prizes to us earlier this week. We were told it had been signed for, even though it definitely did not make it into our office. Hmm...
They wouldn't give us any information about it other than "Simone" had signed for it. We asked the other offices in our building...but there is absolutely no one that works in this whole building with that name.
In the end, after some detective work we found out they had delivered our parcel to a different address about a block away(!) with a totally different postcode. What. the. Fuck!?
So my colleague and I just had to walk over and persuade them to hand over our (massive) parcel, and then we had to lug it back over to our office. Oh, and the parcel had a massive hole it the side, so their courier had obviously not been very careful as he delivered it to the wrong address.
DPD messed up, and made absolutely no effort to correct their mistake.
Yesterday I placed an order for an urgent item on Amazon. It was an item I did not know where to buy in stores, and I did not have time to go shopping today. I paid extra for guaranteed next day delivery.
I woke up at 7am this morning to wait for my parcel. I received email and text updates letting me know where my driver was and how long it would take for him to deliver my parcel. Great! Until I received an email saying that no one was home to sign for the parcel and they had left a calling card!!!!!! It must have been an invisible card!
There are FOUR people indoors waiting for this delivery. FOUR. I had double checked the doorbell twice and even left the front door ajar in case the idiot driver didn't know where the doorbell was (it's not hidden!). I live in a tower block, so the driver would have had to buzz up using the giant intercom at the entrance of the building which he completely ignored and plodded along back to his van.
After hours of tweeting back and forth, the company have only offered to have the parcel delivered to me tomorrow morning (probably with the same idiot driver who is too stupid to press a buzzer). BUT I PAID EXTRA TO HAVE IT DELIVERED TODAY!!! TO-FUCKING-DAY!!! Clearly I am still fuming!
My most recent tweets asking what time I can expect my parcel this afternoon have been completely ignored! I don't understand how a delivery company can allow their drivers to simply NOT deliver goods!?!? It blows my mind!! He said the building had NO ACCESS!?!?! What the fuck!? It is a tall building, 22 floors with 8 flats on each floor, people coming and going every few seconds and a very large intercom! I don't understand it!?!?! Shouldn't these drivers be properly trained and do their job thoroughly!?!? I just don't get it!!
I called the number on the email which was completely automated, and the options were limited. Have the parcel redelivered, or pick it up from their depo, tomorrow or any day of the week. BUT I NEED IT TODAY!!! NOW!!!! How dare he just drive off with my parcel and not even attempt to deliver it to me!?? I even told the company I would go down to the van and get it myself, but apparently they fear tiny little me would somehow be of danger to their big strong delivery man, so for his safety I'm not allowed to meet him at his van!
It has been over 5 hours since they failed to deliver my item and still nothing. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!!!!!
I urge you, please DO NOT use this company for your couriering needs! They are called DPD UK - please spread the word. There is nothing more frustrating than sitting around waiting for something special to get delivered, only to be notified while you are still waiting, that they tried to delivered it but no one was home! Absolute bastards! I am assuming they will not be getting back to me at all and I have no idea what will happen to my parcel! So unprofessional!
BE WARNED AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY TO PLEASE USE ANOTHER DELIVERY SERVICE!
