Dobbies is pretty much a massive garden centre selling all ranges of plants, dobbies is not just all about plants.
Dobbies also has a very big outside area where they sell conservatories, all kinds of paving slabs and stones, they even have a few tanks with fish that you can buy.
Inside they have a local run farm shop/butchers where you can buy meats, eggs, cheese, frozen fruits and other frozen foods.
Inside they also have an aquarium shop, they sell baby gifts, bath and shower gift sets, arts and crafts bits and pieces ect. Dobbies I think is especially good at Christmas they sell Christmas trees, decorations, cards, lights the way it is all set up is so Christmassy and it looks amazing.
There are plenty of staff and tills, the staff are also very friendly and helpful.
Dobbies have a big car park.
This place is a massive garden centre. It's actually a lot more than just a garden centre and I think the area given over to plants is probably only about a quarter of the space that they have there.
As well as plants, they also have tools, seeds, furniture for the garden and conservatory, an absolutely massive gifts section with lots and lots of smelly candles and things like that, as well as a foodie bit with it's own delicatessen as well.
It's a bit pricey for the food and gifty bits, but the plants and things aren't too bad cost wise I don't think. When it first opened my sister in law and myself managed to spend several hours wandering round the place looking at everything which might give an indication of just how big it is.
We often go to Dobbies and the whole family enjoy having a look around. there are lots of palntes and also lots of gifts. there is a aquatics part to it aswell and my kids love to have a look around there, we have brough lots of our fish plus the fish tank etc there. We was offered lots of advice from the staff there on what we needed and how to set up the tank etc. We found it really helpful.
At this time of year it is lovely to go and have a look around all there christmas bits and the set up of there decorations.
There is a cafe and it sell lovely coffee and snacks along with lunch meals. They are a little more expensive then some cafes but i find most in garden centres are!
I really love this garden centre , it has such a good range in different items and you could spend half a day just looking around , then having a bite to eat and then look in the food hall. I think that the staff are helpful and the items are always laid out to be found easy. It is abit pricey on some items but it's lovely even to have a look round on a rainy day.
I love going here to look at the fish! great selection. You can get everything you need and the staff are very helpful.
