This store is great for womens, mens and childrens clothing, Even though sometimes I feel some items are well over priced.
I find this store has many offers though so you can avoid the expense and get a lovely outfit for a better price.
Very spacious and clean.
Not sure if Sarah P actually left the Quadrant...Swansea also has an M&S and BHS, which I my memory serves me right are both department stores...and of course it'll be smaller than Cardiff...most stores in Wales outside of Cardiff ARE small.
Anyway, Debenhams. I do like it, especially during the final days of their Blue Cross sale, when things go buy one get on free. Because of this, I managed to buy 4 bras for the princely sum of £12 - two of them the fairly pricey Miss Ultimo bras. I was impressed. I could spend ages in Debenhams, and more so now that the Benefit counter has expanded to include an eyebrow bar - now if the one in Leeds could just follow along with that, it'd be much appreciated!
A great big branch of Debenhams, located very conveniently in the Quadrant, the car park can lead straight into the shop and the buses are a very heavy stone's throw away (i.e. not very far away).
Good for gifts, and slightly fancy clothes from their designer ranges. I got my first ever ball gown from here. It was £80 and purple.
I was also sick on this branch of Debenhams, at the entrance which opens on to the centre of the Quadrant where the big Christmas decorations are, one Christmas time when it all got too much to bear and I couldn't make it to the (rather excellent) public toilets upstairs.
This branch of Debenhams is one of my favourites. It is well laid out, spacious and well stocked.
The cafe on the first floor is always frequented by myself and my husband as it has a baby food section with bottle warmers, a microwave and even free bibs, spoons and food pots. This is just wonderful and it is so nice to have somewhere that is so baby friendly.
Not as good as Cardiff. It's smaller, has less brands available, and I've found the staff to be quite patronising. Shockingly it's the only department store that Swansea has, so you'll have to make do!
Good branch of Debenhams in the Quadrant Centre with all the usual departments and floors. Great for clothes, gifts and things for the home.
This large branch of Debenhams has entry via the multi storey so you dont have to walk far to carry the bags back to the car. The have a massive range of clothes, homewares and toiletries and you could spend hours walking around the range of items for sale. Staff are helpful and just a walk out the front door means you have the whole of the Quadrant to continue shopping.
You get what you pay for at Debenhams meaning it is a little bit more expensive but the quality is higher than average.
This store is located in The Quadrant Centre so is surrounded by other shops and restaurants meaning it's a full day out shopping. The store its self is very large inside and holds a good stock level in all of its departments. There is a large makeup and perfume counter with knowledgeable staff available to assist you. There is also the usual collections including jane norman, red hearring, coast, BDL, Star and Betty Jackson. The staff here, are always polite, friendly and helpful.
A fantastic Debenhams that is in the Quadrant Centre in the center of Swansea town and a much better Debenhams than the one in Cardiff city centre. Everything is always pretty clean and always in the right areas. You can find everything from fragrances, clothes (designers such as julian macdonald to their own debenhams clothes), shoes (such as faith), make-up (all brands including dior and benefit), gifts and toys. There is also a GAME store on the top floor, right next to the homeware section. The staff are always friendly and helpful on all departments so always a good shop when in Swansea.
Love this shop i buy absolutely all my make up and perfume from here. The staff at the Benefit counter are amazing as are the girls at the Mac counter they always make me look like a film star. The clothes are just a bonus. Lovely shop with lovely staff.
This is an absolutely huge store with a selection of clothes bordering on excessive. It should probably seem crowded but the layout is really well done so that it isn't, though sometimes it is a bit of difficulty to move around the main pathway through with people crowding around the edges. On the lower level, it is incredibly busy also. But it's still nice to walk around with all the choice and I'd recommend it if nearby and specifically if you're looking for clothes. Great choice. I'm not too impressed with the staff, though, which stops me giving this a higher rating, and I'm not too sure on the prices. Depends what you're buying, I guess.
Greeted by cosmetics as soon as you enter the main entrance it can be rather over powering with a gauntlet of ladies wanting you to try the latest YSL. The store gets rather crowded at peak times with very little room for manoeuvre and when they do have the 20% off days it is a free for all with no consideration to vulnerable customers. Located on the ground floor there is a cash machine and a small café area which you always inevitably are left fighting for tables. Upstairs there is a Game shop located in the store but the sales assistants there can be rather pushy and dont give you time to browse before pouncing on you. If you are a Swansea City fan there is a small area where you can buy the latest shirts and some times players will come and sign autographs for the fans. One area to avoid is the cafe upstairs its rather pricey and the food is less than average. All in all its no different to any other department store but this one could do so much better.
