I really like Debenhams as a chain, and this store has its advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side, the Cheltenham branch is in a great location (in the Beechwood Arcade) with access to a car park very close, and a good selection of other fine shops, such as Cargo and Next, nearby.
They have a very nice Warehouse range, stocking many nicer items than the Warehouse store in the Regent Arcade, along with a good Oasis selection.
The kitchenware range is also one of my favourite parts.
One of the key disadvantages to this branch is, however, its size. It is very cramped and can be quite uncomfortable on a Saturday - as they have obviously tried to fit too much stock into a small space.
This store is well stocked and well maintained, selling a range of clothing, cosmetics and homewares. My only complaint is that it's quite small and could do with being expanded. They don't stock as many things as their sister store in Gloucester, admittedly through no fault of their own.
The multi story car park that serves this store is lovely. It's definitely one of Cheltenham's more upmarket car parks!
This Debenhams is an odd department store everything seems cluttered and messy .The lower floor especially seems crammed, with escalators and tills oddly placed and taking loads of floor space
Its sells the everything in the cloth line from Babies to Adults.
Also Quite pricey household goods.
Their Promational up to 75% off days are very good And the store stays open to 10 at night You can pick up some great bargains
The store is self is well placed at the back of the Beechwood Arcade just a lift away from the upper level carpark
Yes its a dated place, and yes all the girls on the perfume displays look plastic and are very unhelpful, but I just bought a very nice suit at a good price and the service I got was great.
The cafe on the top floor is not worth the effort- Go to Slug & lettuce.
Its an ok place when its raining. Clothes are not that bad.
This shop is on three floors, with a cafe, and thankfully has an elevator - nevertheless for wheelchair users this is not a good place because there are stairs even within levels. Rather awkward layout due to the building's restrictions. But it's in a central location and has everything.
Its a large brightly lit store carrying most of the Debenhams range. Staff were polite and helpful as you would expect. Layout is good with plenty of room and departments are easy to find. It was everything i expected to find in a store of this reputation.
Debenhams in Winchester looks rather tacky to bit honest, the people there don't seem to be like working and rather talking, the display on their products is not fantastic and looks like we are walking into a jumble sale. There's hardly any staff to ask for help. The customer service is poor and looks like they are not interested to help and the people on the cosmetics area seem too busy chatting than actually do any work at all.
Nice to have carpark next door though very expensive. I love Debenhams though it needs to be bigger like Gloucester always come away with something
I find this debenhams store terrible it is very small so all departments have next to nothing in them, when you look at the oxford branch it is minute. but if you need avwerage things you should find it here.
