I got there at 5:35,
and so far had no worry making my flight, which should speak you all you need
to recognize about how focused, suitable and reckless they were. What I
also need to tell you is that they were actualwell-mannered.Recommended for
paid service, as well.
This park is fantastic for both families and couples looking for a nice outdoor day out. The boating lake is a real bonus and created loads of fun for the group of us that went. Danson park has also hosted a couple of concerts and is has regular events like wedding fairs at weekends.
There is a pub offering a good selection of food within the grounds of danson park and is a great place to end up after walking around for a few hours.
There is a great childrens park which is really safe and later in the year danson hosts a firework display which is a good night out as they have stalls offering hot dogs burgers jacket potatoes all at reasonable prices.
Parking is available within the grounds and is perfectly safe.
I grew up near here and not much has changed really, it's a lovely little park and has a lot of memories. They have a swing park, a lake, tennis courts, pitch and putt, a show garden and the fairly recently renovated Danson Stables, which has been converted into a rustic style restaurant.
I thoroughly recommend the food at the Stables, it's good quality and cooked well whilst being reasonably priced.
The park offers rowing boats to rent for the lake in the summer, as well as being host to football trainings and other sporting activities. It's a great family afternoon and has adequate parking facilities too. Annually it also has some events such as the Danson Festival and Danson Fireworks, both of which are quite impressive and popular around the local area!
Danson Park is a lovely place to take the family, plenty of wide open space to play football or throw a frisbee around. There is a childrens play park which is filled with swings slides & lots of other fun things. There is also a water part which during the summer is fantastic.
The park has a boating lake where boats &canoes can be hired out and taken on the lake which is very good fun. There is a little shop which is open by the lake which sells food and also during the summer there is an ice cream van.By the swing park there is also a restaurant called the danson stables.I would highly reccommend this place for a family day out.
Danson Park is a great space for a fun summer day out. There is a decent swing park for the small children, plenty of grassed areas for playing football and cricket, a small stream to use your fishing net to catch small fish, (as long as you throw them back in later). There is a cafe and ice cream stand for refreshments although taking your own picnic is always nicer. The lake is equipped with hire boats and also used for water sport. At certain times of the year it is used for festivals and concerts. The only down side is that if the weather is wet it can get quite waterlogged.
Danson park is a great place to take the kids or to even go for that romantic late night stroll or picnic. There's a huge boating lake which hires out pedeloes and during the summer up the top of the park there's a great water spurting park next to the kids swings it's all round good neighbourly fun.
Anyone who played in Danson Park as a child will have fond memories of the Rock Garden. It's certainly my highlight there and serves as a peaceful respite for adults while entertaining ideal hiding places for children's games. The squirrels are used to company so take some nuts as they come up close for feeding. For the sports-minded among you, there are full sized football pitches where you can play or watch one of the regular games that take place there. In the summer, you can hire a rowing boat or pedalo for a trip across the lake which becomes the venue for a firework display in Autumn. The play area is well equipped for adventurous children and has a bar serving solft drinks for the adults to huddle round. Next to the play area is a pub which serves tasty snack food which you can eat inside or in the garden area.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i did my courting here and my legs got sunburned in a boat. Wonderful memories.Lots of space, plenty to do. Good ice cream hut. Somethig for everyone.
I love it here. We take our dog for a lovely walk here and then the kids play in the swing park afterwards. Although it has been there years it is kept really well and most people seem to respect that. I love the lake although it is dirty and my dog comes back black!!!
I love danson park, I think its brilliant especially when they hold events such as fireworks and the summer fair they do. Went to the fireworks a few days ago and they were brilliant. Lovely in the summer, and the rock gardens are lovely! There are many entrances into the park, from blackfen, bexleyheath and welling. The boathoase usually has many exibitions, there are toilets and fishing and sailing are popular here.
It is the one of great park in south east London, you can enjoy with feeding the birds or have a picnic with a lovely view of the lake... It is the place where you can take your children to enjoy on play area......
Not happy being made to pay to park to use the pub 'The Stables' only to find out they have run out of most of the food on the menu.
I used to love this park. We used to go a lot when I was younger. I went back a few weeks ago with my nephew and was quite disappointed. I know it is almost winter but the water looke very dirty and there was litter everywhere. There was also dogs * on the grass. It needs a little tlc.
went here when the fair was here, have had many people say this park is good in summer so I must go and see in summer :0) good place to go for fair !!
Danson Park is fab - especially in the summer. The majority of it is beautifully maintained. A great place for a picnic or a kick about. I have taken my bike for a ride around here on a few occassions and it is quite pleasant. The lake makes a good scenery - don't think i'd like to go swimming in there though. People are always fishing in this lake and in the sumemr months when they do fate's they have water sports on the lake. A lovely day out for the family if the weather is right.
the prefect place for a summers afternoon. and its never too busy to feel crowded. they play area seems to go down well with children of all ages. The pub has been nicely refurbished and if you can get a table is lovely. it does get very busy on the rare sunny weekends, but a picnic is always a good option.
