Used to be an awful pub!
Now very much improved. My parents enjoy the 'pensioners' food there - smaller portions at a reasonable price.
I personally would like much larger portions! Especially of the lovely sausages.
The Copt Oak was opened around 1990 and has seen many landlords and managers come and go.
It was a tough pub. It gained a reputation for being a "kids" pub frequented by teenagers and drug dealers. Much of that was probably true in the past.
However, the current Landlord, Stuart Toon, has done a lot to turn the pub around.
The kids have gone (mostly) The food is excellent. Particularly Sunday Lunch
Go and see for your self.
A soulless estate pub with very poor food (range and Quality). Standard beers available - nothing very interesting. Couple of benches outside if the weather is good. Too many fruit and quiz machines inside. Staff are not well trained. Very little to recommend this, probably best avoided
good food, polite staff, nice place. 10/10
