A place playing trance in London? Surely not.
Had a great night at 414, a small but very friendly crowd and great music until the next day. Owner very friendly and had a good chat with us. Nice squishy sofas but even better, get up to the the roof garden as the sun comes up - genius.
As others have said, security very friendly and absolutely no aggro in the club. Great vibe, will be going back soon.
This is a legendary crazy little odd club tucked away in the backstreet's of Brixton.
If you're into Trance, Techno etc.. you probably know all about it - if not and you like what's called hard dance you'll be right at home here.
It's a small intimate club with a main room, an upstairs (via an "up only" spiral staircase) and a roof garden for chilling / cooling down and having a ciggie.
The great thing about it is as its small, you tend to get very friendly, chatty crowds, the bar prices are OK and the security is pretty chilled.
Friday and Saturday are the best days and the station is only a few hundred yards away for when you need to get home.
If you want a club playing trancey stuff that wont break the bank then this is the club for you.
See you on the dance floor!
I have been going to the 414 for a few years now and I always know what to expect when I go there: banging Hard Dance music, expensive drinks, and ravers raising their hands to roof in ecstasy as each tune drops.
The venue itself is small with an outside terrace so you can get a breather or have a cigarette.
Entry is usually about £10 and the drinks are very expensive. You can't really come here on a budget. I think it is about £12 for a double vodka and Red Bull!
This is not a trendy club whatsover, it is usually the place where people go to when they can't think of anywhere else or everywhere else is closed. Don't worry about what you are wearing either because there is absolutely no dress code.
Few women in the place.
£3.50 for a small bottle of beer. Bar staff slow to hand the change over i.e. - engaging in some pressing conversation with each other.
Door staff know their business.
Great atmosphere. Very relaxed. Music to dance to.
Fair group of regulars but not at all cliquish.
Front of house man sorted a cab to Hither Green for £20. Not bad for 7 miles on a Sunday morning. Lovely cabbie.
We'll be going back.
this has to be the smallest club i have been too in london but also has a great vibe to it. one of the first venues i went too and it hasnt changed much perfect for new clubbers!!
A nightclub that's constantly spinning great dance jams and bringing the energy every night!
Established in 1985.
Opened on Friday 13th June 1985 Club 414 has seen 5000 parties. Has been the home of over 100 promotions, seen more DJ's than can be remembered, numerous artists and even a greater number of party people has passed through the door. Served by fantastic bar staff, looked after by door staff that are almost as famous as the venue.
Having lead the way in clubland, being at the forefront of every music genre. Arguable the most know venue in London Club414 always leading the way in the heart of Brixton.
Never miss a beat all weekend....
