It's hit and miss in here. I think the lay-out is spot on with a bar lounge and then a big dining area. The staff are nice and the service is quick. There is nothing exotic about the food here, it the usual English pub food.
I like to enjoy the food out the front of here in the sun. But it can be very noisy as this destination is close to the airport.
They make a nice steak here and you can get a lot of food for your money. A good place to bring a big group or family.
This is set back off the Coventry road near the NEC and I have gone here a few times after events at the NEC. The car park is a bit odd if you cant park at the top in front of the pub there is a steep(ish) drop down to more spaces. The food was on 2 for 1 offer when I have gone and they have a decent choice. The staff are ok but it is not somewhere I choose to go too often, but worth a visit for a meal if you are close by
Just got back from a meal at The Clock and we won't be going back. I took my mother and her friend my daughter and 2 nieces for a meal for my mother's birthday. We each had 2 courses and this took a staggering two and a half hours, which we would have forgiven if the food was worth it but it was presented with less flair than the local transport cafe. We had 3 Sunday lunches and 3 items from the regular menu which took an age to turn up when they did the Sunday roasts included frozen veg, which had seen better days, swimming around in incipid gravy and the meat, chicken, was abandoned on top with little thought to presentaion. When the sweets eventually arrived they were served in 3 sittings!! The first 3 arrived which we had finished by the time another 2 arrived, after having to remind the waitress, and finallly 5 minutes later the last one turned up!! Forgive me if I am naive but if I go out for a meal with my family I do expect us to eat at the same time!!
