Not the most eccentric food but the food wow!! i love my food, and when i had finished my meal, i found myself in a feeling of absolute satisfaction!! food Amazing!! i am a man with savoury tastes, never a sweet tooth and i felt so compelled to eat more, that i even had desert and it too was fantastic!!
the service was great and friendly and price was good too!! absolutely no complaints whatsoever!!!
This was the first time I had been here. I walked into a small hallway that split into two areas, one lead outside and one lead to a door that lead to the restaurant inside.
We had a nice lady greet us and offer to take our coat. She sat us at a very nice booth and our waitress came along to offer us drinks. We ordered our drinks and starters which happened to be some potato skins. The decor inside is Mexican/Aztec style with statues and other art work. The atmosphere was really good. Chimichanga does take Taste London card but not on a Friday or Saturday.
The starter did not take long to arrive, and it was delicious. I ordered an enchilada for my main. There wasn't a long wait between courses and my main was very good, it tasted very fresh and tasted authentic :)
For dessert we shared a brownie with ice cream... although this isn't very Mexican it was very very tasty. The brownie was a nice soft warm texture. It would have been interesting if they would have had a bit more of a Mexican dessert selection.
I will definitely be coming back for some Mexican goodness :)
This is a Mexican restaurant and is a chain, that's part of a larger chain of Prezzo (italian).
I've not eaten here because they don't have a children's menu, now I thought being part of Prezzo they'd know the value of the afternoon / early evening trade.
I was just not prepared to waste a tenner on a meal for a kid, then have to feed her again, she like's wraps and stuff at home but all it takes is being a bit hot and the wrong vegetable and that would have been over.
The waitress explained the food is spicy and hot, we exited, I should have said YES, I know that, but so are curries and kids eat them!
Mexican Restaurant part of the Chimichangas chain. Located in the former 'yellow book cafe'. Nice place to grab some Mexican food, generous portions, not cheap but not too expensive, would make a good evening out with friends.
Took my.wife for a birthday meal and found the food selection and staff very good. Lovely clean.place with airy rooms and large seating areas. Well worth a visit . Their mexican paella is well worth a try. Fairly easy parking nearby .
Went here the other evening, of the restaurants in the area I have tried this was one of the best. Food was good and quick to the table in what seemed to be a fairly restaurant. The food was good and well portioned, the service was very good, if you are in the area and hungry head here.
A fantastic Mexican restaurant with friendly staff, prompt service and reasonably priced food. The portions are healthy and its tastes just divine! I am a big fan of this restaurant and its so much better than Chiquitos which has lost all its appeal when it comes to looking for an authentic Mexican meal.
Visited this restaurant on a week day with a friend. It has a nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and a great selection in the menu for vegetarians. I also treated myself with a cocktail which was very tasty. Great food, large plates served promptly and great value for money. Will visit again, had a lovely evening.
