Went with this company for my hen night.
I hadn't realised that they just pick up the phone to arrange the event then pocket half of your money.
They have a strict no refunds policy which meant when my friend couldn't make it, despite telling them 3 weeks in advance, they kept her money.
They make it very easy to pay them which was nice, but now it's clear why.
We booked ChilliSauce based on their glossy website. Firstly, the activities (quad biking, hovercraft and rage karts) were a total rip off less than 5mins driving for £115 !! It was a joke and people were really disappointed, many having travelled from abroad. Their representative Jamie was extremely rude and did not want to know as soon as we'd paid the deposits. Between the group of us we must have tried to phone him over 80 times and he's never available and never returns calls. He was rude to the Stag's aunt who phoned from abroad trying to pay for her husband and hung up the phone on her. When we tried to add extra people a few days before the event he said this event has been too much hassle, I'm not letting anyone extra come. He made mistakes on the names and said it was too confusing that they shared the same surnames (cousins/brothers) and he couldn't figure out who had/hadn't paid. On the day we had to take bank statements to prove that we'd paid since Jamie would not recognise that people had paid and their names should have been on the list. We tried to complain afterwards but Chilli Sauce have no complaints process and we suffered verbal abuse from Jamie accusing us of being disorganised (!?). In addition he organised a Hen Night for my wife who was lead bridesmaid for her friend. This was a shambles too with them repeatedly trying to call him and confusion when they arrived at their hotel. Again their activities were a rip off, only a few minutes on each thing despite paying alot. Avoid Chilli Sauce. In particular avoid Jamie its a disgrace.
If you have any nounce about you then DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! My friend booked to go away and with paying so far in advance you'd expect great rates.. we paid £131 each for twin/double rooms in York Travel Lodge for two nights. I needed to make a change to the booking on the day and we were unable to. I checked the hotel website for prices for this weekend and I could have booked a double room for 2 people for two night for £78 in total and this was a single booking and on a flexible rate, yet Chilli Sauce claims they have booked 6 rooms and they weren't on a flexible rate so NO CHANGES COULD BE MADE, yet when I spoke to the reservations team at Travel Lodge they could see it was on a flexible rate and changes could be made but had to be done through Chilli Sauce. So not only had they made a MASSIVE profit on the booking, I know its a business and they need to make a profit but to then not be flexible when I knew they could is just outrageous!!!!! I am disgusted with the company and I work in the wedding industry and I will be ensuring all my Brides to be know about the awful service I have had!!!!
PLEASE READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE YOUR STAG DO RUINED!! Yes it was cheap and cheerful (£15 per head), yes, the list looked impressive and yes, ordering was simple and yes, they took my money very quickly. Now, did we get any value for our money? NO WAY!!! As a stag do, the group consisted of the same gender. The first problem that we could foresee was that we had to be in each of the venues BEFORE 11:00pm. Although not that spread out, it was still a difficult task of spending any sufficient time at any one place without wanting to go to the other just to check out the scene there. We had already decided to just limit it to the Gentlemans club first and one, maybe two bars. Given the fact that we had to be at each place before the 11:00pm mark to get our money's worth, we decided to visit the gentleman's club (Platinum Lace) first where we had to buy a bottle for £140. The problem was that only 3 out of the group drank and didn't really want to get plastered so early on in the night so the strippers helped themselves to 2/3 of the bottle. After feeling a little shafted by the strip club (surely it should have been the other way around!), we headed for the bars/clubs that were on the list. First stop, Piccadily Institute. There was no queue which, although disappointing, was understandable given that it was just after 10:00pm, however we were refused entry based on the fact that we were same sex. Turns out that they had a strict policy in place that they do not allow same sex groups!! We were shocked but not aggressive/rowdy and very far from being drunk! We were asked to move to one side while the head doorman spoke to my brother, who organised the whole thing. Despite the fact that our names were on the list, we were turned away. We then moved onto another bar (Grace Bar I think) where we had the same blinking dilemma of being turned away!! NONE of the bars/clubs that we had paid in advance to be on the guest list of, would allow a group of 9 men into a club. When we put the complaint forward to Chilli Sauce.. their response was that we were 'drunk, abusive and border line aggressive'!!! I can tell you now, our group was FAR from being drunk, abusive AND very far from being aggressive!! Annoyed, yes but this was very reserved as we just wanted to get into the clubs!! Chili Sauce claim that they have to go by the doormans words and would only offer a partial refund, particularly as we got into the overpriced gents clubs.. which came up as just £2 on the chilli sauce invoice. They claimed that it would have cost £10 entry per person so would only offer £5 pp refund back!! Here's what Platinum Lace have on their website We made a night out of it in any case but with no thanks to ChilliSauce as we had to look for other venues instead!!! My advice DO NOT BOOK A STAG DO WITH CHILLISAUCE. IF you do, have somebody make a video as you enter the clubs so when you get turned down for being a same gender group, the doorman cant use the same blanket excuse that the stag party was drunk/rowdy or aggressive!!!
