I had a lovely weekend at this spa with a group of my girlfriends. The package that we bought included two spa treatments which were divine. I also really enjoyed the Roman Bath style pool, as well as the jacuzzi and steam room. It didnt take very long to get there from London, but it was a nice change to be in the country. They had a variety of activities that you could participate in, including an invigorating 3 mile trail around the property.
However, the staff did seem disorganized. Extras were charged to the wrong rooms, and one of my friends was charged for 4 newspapers after a one night stay.
Altogether I had a very nice time and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Champneys Henlow to a friend.
I live locally to The Grange and am a member.
I get to use all the facilities including pool, steam room, Gym and exercise classes.
You also get money off treatments and use a point system for each time you attend which can get you free treatments.
You also get free passes for friends to use which is great for just relaxing and taking it easy
My husband and I had a short break here and were so overwhelmed by the fantastic staff service. It is second to none and they have obviously been trained really well. The rooms were extremely clean and well cared for and the overall resort is a lovely place with great views. The only let down for us was the food but it is a health resort so we couldn't really expect cordon bleu cooking!!!
Overall I would recommend this place but mainly for the ladies.
We went here on a work trip after a period of some very stressful work and late nights so it was nice to go to such a well appointed and relaxing place to chill out for a day. I must admit that I'd previously been very dubious about massage and treatments having never done anything tlike this before but I am definitely a convert now! We were a large group but the staff were extremely organised and friendly and we all knew where we had to be and when for our treatments. I had a facial, thallasotherapy and back massage and all were wonderful. We had lunch from the self service buffet restaurant and the food was delicious. The highlight of the day was taking part in the Grease dance class - completely random but great fun!
