Cash Converters Thomas Street is a busy little shop buying and selling second hand goods. It is a great place to keep in mind if you are looking to purchase (or wanting to sell) mobile phones, entertainment consoles, electronic goods, DVDs and games as they are carefully selected for purchase and sold at bargain prices. An ID is need to sell items.

I think that Cash Converters is probably the tidiest pawn shop I have ever been in. The merchandise is laid out in a neat and orderly fashion and everything is well marked with the features and price of the item. They have a nice selection of laptops, tvs, guitars and other musical instruments, mobile phones, gold jewelry, and DVDs, but I found many of the items to be overpriced, especially the laptops. Other merchandise is comparably priced to other second-hand shops, and you could probably find a good value in there somewhere.

The store also provides loan services, in which you basically give store your item - be it a tv, video game console, or jewelry and they pay you about 1/3 of the value of the item. They keep your item for 28 days or longer if you renew the loan and when you pay the store back, you get your stuff back. I don't know if this is normal, but it just seems weird to me.
