How to review a tube station? One of London's more simple tube stations, it doesn't even have two platforms - one central platform caters from both north and southbound trains. There's only one escalator, and a small flight of stairs. It's usually very clean, and the staff post a thought for the day at the top of the escalator every day. Sweet.
It's rammed full between 8 and 9am in the morning, so walk to Stockwell if you want to get the Northern Line (because that's where lots of people get off the train, for the Victoria Line).
Nearby pubs include The Clapham North (formerly Bedford Arms), The Royal Oak, and The Falcon (it's bright yellow).
Very crowded with lots of bits & pieces. The isles are narrow, so don't try walking around with lots of bags. Whatever you want, I'm sure you will find it there.
Located opposite the tasty, appetising Alba Italian restaurant Clapham North is a mid-sized Zone 2 Northern Line station. I haven't visited it too frequently, as it's certainly the smaller sister of its other Clapham neighbours but it seems the staff are keen on a daily anecdote or two, read (the photo) for yourself!
Very small platfrom and is crazy busy at peak times so avoid if you can. Apart from that it's really nice as there's always classical music playing! There's a nice pub across the pub called the Clapham North also.
