Would highly recommend if visiting Llandudno.
The food and service was amazing, people may be put off by the price but for the quality you receive its worth the money.
Great with kids too and if your thinking of visiting, i would suggest you book a table as it gets pretty busy on weekends.
I was recommended this place from a friend and i would recommend this to anyone, its getting my first ever 5 stars because the food was faultless.

Candles is a British/European Restaurant which has been in the town for many years. It was once a very popular restaurant and whenever there was a special occasion Candles would always be the restaurant of choice.

However the Menu never seems to change and it begun to get a little boring. The once excellent food now seems a little boring and tasteless and there are now so many good restaurants to choose from in the area that Candles (in my mind) cannot compete.

They offer a Set Menu with 3 or 4 courses and also a cooked to order - Al a Carte Menu. The menu is simple and a bit uninspiring with lots of Grill type food like Steaks, Chicken and Gammon, served with that awful mixed Frozen veg where you always get a scrappy bit of Cauliflower and a few crinkle cut carrots YUK!!

On the plus side the restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming, with nice bistro style decor and candlelit tables and the staff are friendly and offer good service.

If your not into Gourmet Food and just want something plain and simple this is an ideal place to eat, but for me If I make the effort to go out for a meal I expect a little bit more than a meal I can easily acheive at home - so for that reason it gets the Thumbs Down!
