Not quite as hardcore with its main rides yet still caters for all theme park goers. The theme is obviously Camelot and the knights of the round table which is carried out throughout the park - even a huge castle built over a ride itself.
The food and drink are similar to most themepark prices therefore recommended that you bring your own picnic as there are plenty of picnic tables and grass areas you can sit on. Staff are very friendly and encourage you to enjoy your day even when you have no energy left!
There are numerous areas to the site as like Alton Towers it is split into different sections for different style rides. It does provide water rides which are suitable for must ages and a barrel of laughs as you get completely soaked.
As well as the high powered rides there is also a childrens section and farmyard for the young families are the rollercoaster-phobic so need not worry if you think there is nothing for you.
A must see when you are there is the jousting which is in a large outdoor arena. A lively and entertaining show with actors on horseback and a hilarious jester performing numerous fetes for your entertainment.
There is also a magician and clown available at different points in the day amongst various other performers to ensure your children are giggling!

Great day out for the kids, loads of rides that make them feel that they have been brave (excalibur 2 made me feel brave) as well as the favourite teacups and log flume etc and the tots are catered for as well with a soft play area and farm. My daughter enjoyed the jousting and the jester who she found very funny and especially loved being able to pet the horses when the show ended. We took a picnic but there are plenty of places to buy fish n chips, burgers, hot dogs etc. If you wanted a more substantial lunch you can get a pass out and visit one of the many local pubs. Your visit can even be combined with an overnight stay at the adjoining park hall hotel

A great family day out. Well signposted from both the M6 and M61.Fun for all of the family, some features not to be missed are the jousting tournements where King Arthur and his jouster will preside over his knights.Dare you go on the knuckle biting rides, or veiw the park on the back of a dragon? A must for all the children is the petting zoo with farm animals and falconry diplays. There are lots of cafes and food bars all reasonably priced, if you want to bring your own then there are picnic benches and plenty of grassed areas.
