ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
The doughnut was really moist all throughout and the jam was really fresh.
There was a variety of options to choose from including vegan options.
Would definitely reccommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lori Taylor R.Chicago, United States62282504 Jun 2010First to Review
Don't let this cart fool you! It certainly did us. We had eyed the cart from afar and made a B line straight over to it. Our eyes glazed over, just like the sugary confections we were about to consume. Our bellies swelled with anticipation as we narrowed down our choices.
We made our selection a Coffee Glazed Donut with Chocolate Drizzle. The gentleman working the cart seemed a bit bothered that we interrupted his conversation with our purchase. We didn't let that bother us, because we were in for a treat or so we thought. We finally made it to a table after stopping to grab a coffee. I quickly opened our goodie bag and bit right in. Hmmm. Bland, a flavor less disc of sugar. Maybe it was just that bite. Let me try it again. Oh wait, the same taste, bland and flavor less. It just taste like sugar. Not sugary goodness, just sugar. There wasn't even a hint of coffee or chocolate. What a let down. I know it may be hard to resist, but don't say I didn't warn you!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (Marzip…)Melbourne, Australia5716715518 Jan 2008
We stumbled across the BEST doughnut cart I've ever seen in Camden - it's just outside the market by the canal - see the map - and it has absolutely every flavour you can think of. So much better than those Krispy Kreme things, these are really big and full to the brim.
Custard, cream, chocolate, sprinkles, the supply is never-ending, and the line is so worth the wait. Next time I go I'm going to try the Triple Chocolate, chocolate dough, chocolate cream and chocolate sprinkles on top! YUM!
This is a must if you're up in Camden!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alida F.South of Market, San Francisco, United States0116 Sept 2018
Very disappointed. 5 £ for one doughnut what was not that nice . They all looks so delicious but flavour was nothing like outside look.
I'm sure in the market I could find a better one .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mathilde Q.Knightsbridge, London0128 Jun 2018
Extremely rude seller and stale donuts.
These looked amazing so we wanted to give them a try. We were deciding on the flavors and the seller told us to hurry up the rudest way possible, even if there was no line and it was nowhere near closing time. The donuts were stale and flavorless. Don't let the pretty icing fool you these are not worth it, and are completely overpriced (£4.50 for a stale donut????).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lizzie S.London17911006125922 Jun 2010
I moved to London many years ago. In fact it was so long ago I almost forget what it's like to not be from here. That is until I walk past Camden Cakes or "That Donut Place" as me and my mum called it. Every visit to Camden, was guaranteed to have a stop off at this cake stall. A full 15 minute conversation about which donut we both wanted and then arguments and ordering as we have to only select one.
The array of donuts on display here is upsetting. Any Weight Watcher will cross the road rather than have these cream, custard and choloate filled delights flaunted in front of them. And at a quid a go, you can easily get carried away and buy a few. Personal favourites have to be the custard filled dreams, I avoid the cream as I feel dairy really shouldn't be out in the heat during the day.
So here is my advice, these glazed dreams startle the tourists and you'll often find a gaggle of them floating about the cart. Walk straight up with a hot pound in your greedy little palm and clearly announce which one you want. This assures the lovely gents handing you the fatty package that you really do know your donuts and that he was right to serve you first and ignore the non-locals.
Now every time I come to Camden I'll pop by this stall for a sweet treat, even if I don't want it just then. I'll hoard it until I get to the privacy of my own home and devour the delectable sweet.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Nicole G.Los Angeles, United States4144119 Nov 2011
HOLY DONUTS, BATMAN!
Had THE most amazing doughnut from this food stall while strolling through Camden Market.
Ordered a (STUFFED!) Bavarian cream doughnut with a chocolate glaze sprinkled with sliced almonds. So. delicious. I didn't even care that it put me into an immediate sugar coma.
It's a childhood dream to one day find a food cart packed with nothing but doughnuts. :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather D.London922723817 Feb 2014
Well you got to give it to them, these look absolutely delicious when walking up.
Although the doughnuts originally were totally scrumptious, the problem here lies in the fact that they are open to the elements and as the day goes on become stale and not so nice.
I have tried these doughnuts quite a few times and each time trying to figure out the ideal point in the day in which to purchase (If I arrive early in the morning surely the doughnuts are fresh right?). Sadly every time my purchase does not taste half as good as it looks.
Shame.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie P.Bury Saint Edmunds, Suffolk014 Feb 2019
These are over priced awful cronuts. They cost £5 each and the ones we had yesterday, 3/2/19 were stale. I took mine back and told the chap I couldn't eat it and he said that's what cronuts are like. I've had them from other places and this is the worst by far. He refused to refund.

I hear the custard ones are wet. Best cronuts in the UK. It's telling me this is too short for a review but it's a donut stand. How much can one say?
