I dropped some major coin today on Pitfield Street.

Within one block I got my hair done (ESHK Salon), a hat to go on top of it (CA4LA), and then some lovely gifts and lunch at Pitfield. Literally...within one little street there are just so many ways to spend hard earned cash.

Such is life. Sometimes you want a ridiculous hat. Ok, so its not really that ridiculous, a beautifully handmade knit cap with fluffy ball atop it, just perfect for the days when you don't wish to do your hair, but need to look presentable. In a burnt orange with brown "floof" certainly I can pass as...not only passable, but fashionable. At 71 quid, let's hope so.

I poked around for a bit more looking for a few gifts, but couldn't find the "just right" things for a few others on my list.

The gal working was quite nice, the selection luxurious but down to earth. Things of course are a bit pricey, but it's surely one of the most charming hat shops in all of London. A shop entirely devoted to hats. Imagine it! Imagine them. Draped over antiques, displayed artfully in trunks, laid neatly on the counter.

If you couldn't find something to cover your head here...you probably could not find it anywhere. I'm going to cherish my purchase (my gift to myself this year!).

*No refunds or exchanges, no kidding.

This wickedly kitted out shop in Shoreditch, with its very own wild boar bedecked in a fun party hat, is a must-visit if in the area.

With plenty of celeb clients, its one of those little gems that is definitely hidden away, but which stocks the best merch.

I frequently visit and occasionally by from them, both for myself and as presents for friends and family.

They are not the cheapest but then they aren't quite Philip Treacy prices either.

If you love hats, then you have to check out Ca4la.

The hippest/coolest hat store in London. Straight out of Japan CA4LA has a great selection of the latest and greatest in urban hats. The store is eclectically designed with antiques and creative methods of display. I go in there regularly and will soon need an extra closet for all the great hats from this gem. For all the fashionistas out there, if you don't knoiw about CA4LA, you should

I adore this stunning little hat boutique. It is one the prettiest shops I have seen. The CA4LA ( I have no idea how to pronounce it) sells amazing selection of all sorts of hats from smaller Japanese designer labels.

The designs are so cute and personal, but nothing flashy. Made from wool and quality materials, and most of all, made to last. Visiting this store is simply an aesthetic pleasure.

This is an awesome hat shop. It is so good, it is even worth a visit if you don't want to buy a hat. Although I dare say that if you are in the market for one, male or female, you'll find something. They are Japanese, and for some unknown reason they have a shop in Shoreditch. It's the sort of unusual shop London is so good at - go have a look if you are nearby.

Really excellent and unique hat shop bringing some cool Japanese flavor to London. I dropped in again the other day and they seemed a little sad. To be honest I think they could to be a little less timid in their approach, but I love their vibe and the quality is top notch.

Very high quality hats are provided at this Japanese shop. Tucked away in Shoreditch, even if you don't buy anything, you'd have a great time browsing around here.
