This park is a place where there is a sense of community and well being. It is a large space where many activities can take place.

There is of course a children's playground. I went here when I was younger and I thought it was one of the best playgrounds. It has a large climbing frame, tyre swing, wooden bridge, Gaelic pitches throughout the park, where many clubs come to play their weekend games. The ages range from the u10s team to the over 50s!

There are tennis courts, where camps happen throughout the summer, and a skate boarding/roller skating park.

I enjoy just going for long walks in the park (I've already been today!). You tcan go for a quick one around the perimeter of the top level, or there are steps down to a trail beside the Dodder river. There is also a large pond with ducks and swans, which the children can feed.

You see all sorts of people in this park; a woman jogging, family on bikes, old man walking his dog. It really has something for everyone.

Bushy Park is a favourite park of mine that I usually visit once a week. As I have a rather large dog, he needs a lot of walking so he drags us along. There is a great wooded area that leads to Rathfarnham shopping centre by the Dodder. There are plenty of bridges and staircases to explore so the dog loves it.
I find it really comes alive during the summer months. It is  a great place to take a long walk and watch what other people are getting up to. There are plenty of joggers, dog walkers and then you have the tag rugby teams on the fields. I have even spotted an American football team going through their paces. It is good to use up an hour trying to get fit or watch the skateboarders doing mid air stunts beside the tennis courts. It is great place for people of all ages just to unwind at the end of the day.

Bushy Skatepark has a high speed bowl/snake setup that means that the skate experience is fast here dudes. The spine area has a mellow landing side with 10' tranny. Most of the hips are sharp, but there is one rounded hip in the shallow end.One of the deep hips has a Temple Load flyout box on the deck for those who want to have some real fun.

I have to agree with the previous reviews.  Bushy Park is a fantastic facility.  It caters for walkers, Dog owners, Cyclists, Skaters, Football, Gaa, Tennis and while I have never seen a coffee shop the Ice cream van id always close by.

Bushy park really is one of Dublin's nicest parks. It's location is central to town and access from the M50 and the N81 is great. What I really like about Bushy is the fact that it is safe and hosts a wide range of activities. Go in any day and you will see people  running, relaxing in the sun and reading books etc. There are some nice paths through the woodland and a small lake also. There is a collection of clubs that operate in bushy, Including a running club, boules, tennis and skateboard section for youths.
On Sundays, you can stroll around for an hour or two taking in all the above. A great place to unwind after a tough week.
