tasty sandwiches for all types of customers, very friendly atmosphere, underground, big screen with street performers, ceiling full of music posters, cinema chairs, waiters cute! would have to go there once a week ..
Really good burgers, nice professional staff... Big variety of options, and sweet potato fries! Awesome!
I was eating at the smaller restaurant (there's a bigger one but it was already closed)
Good overall performance, but be careful the standard cheeseburger got ketchup... And ketchup in burger is a no no.
Go for the spezial or the other non ketchup ones
I don't begrudge restaurants long waits for a table -- if there's a high demand to get in, more power to them. But I'm much less forgiving when it comes to long waits to get food once seated -- an hour wait for burgers and fries is really inexcusable, which is what we faced on our recent visit.
Food itself was OK -- burgers werre half as good as The Bird for about half the price, which for me is a reasonable effort. Fries were also fine, and I appreciated ketchup and mayo conatiners being already on the table. I was also happy to see so many options on the burger list - if you can't find something that looks good on this, you probably shouldn't be eating burgers in the first place. Still, the quality of the meat patty is not going to win any awards -- just a step up from cafeteria/mass production quality. But with a reasonable price and a decent selection of beer, Burgeramt is a not-objectionable option for those with time on their hands.
I've had many vegetarian burgers here. They are yum.
I recently started to eat meat again and i decided to have a meaty burger here.
It wasn't so yum, it actually made me really sad. I mean, it had bacon on it. Bacon makes like, 100% of meat eaters happy. Bacon in a burger logically should equal 200% happy.
You know, it gets super crowded all the time in this place and I know it's definitely not the case that all people there were there for the awesomeness that is the halloumi peanut veggie burger. Seriously, get that that instead. Also, get a massive plate of fries because its gunstig (cheap as hell) and big enough to share with 3-4 friends...
Anyways, I left here sad. Very sad. I didn't know my burger emotion level was so affective to the point where I want to break up with this place. I am confused if I want to go on a second date with the meaty bacon cheeseburger from here.
I don't think I'll be calling very soon.
After few people had mentioned Burgeramt to me, I had been wanting to try out this place for a while and I finally got to on Thursday night. It was 9.30pm and we still had to wait about 35 minutes for a table. This is a testament to just how popular this place is. But thankfully service was quick as we were all absolutely starving at this point.
Once inside, you're welcomed to the sounds of old school hip hop tunes and movie posters stuck up on the ceiling, giving it a cool student digs vibe. They have lots of good choices on the menu and you have the option for a couple of Euros to have an extra burger patty and another couple of Euros to have the menu with pommes and slaw. I went for the Chilli Cheese menu. I have to say that it was well worth the wait. Moist juicy patty with melted gouda cheese and loads of jalapenos with crunchy little roasted shallots, gherkins as well as fresh tomato and onion, all in a toasted sesame bun. I scoffed mine down fairly rapidly despite the heat of the jalapenos. The menu came with a generous portion of fries. What I really liked was the slaw, it was slightly sweet and creamy but beautifully crunchy with peanuts and sultanas in. I know I might divide some on this with fruit in savoury food but this time it worked. It was all a steal at just under 7EUR. So worth the wait!
Definitely going to hit this place up again to try the bacon guacamole burger (must be popular, as it was sold out!)
Definitely some of the best burgers in #Berlin - starting at 2,30 €
First experience with Burgeramt - Früstücksklub and I must say the breakfast I had was really what I wished for. Well, I had the ONLY dish they offer for breakfast - the English Breakfast - so it's a little overrated to call it "Früstücksklub", but that's me.
Anyways, the food was fresh (as fresh tinned baked beans and fries can be - unfortunately the fries weren't homemade): two well fried eggs, sunny side up, grilled tomato, bacon and sausage accompanied by toast and the all time favorite English bitter. Nicely arranged and really a lot of food... for only 7,90 Euro what I find reasonable.
The freshly squeezed OJ was quite good and tasted fully like oranges. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee but maybe it was exception. I will try it again another day.
Sweet spot. A pretty new burger place in Friedrichshain. The people working here are friendly, but not the fastest cats, but it's well worth the wait.
The music playing when we waited for the food was pretty chill and so we didn't mind the time. The shop itself is pretty small, so sometimes you may even have to wait outside, which sort of sucks during this time of the year.
I had a Mediterranean burger, which was really good. All vegetarian, Mozarella, tomatoe, pesto - delicious. Fries were good too. The other burgers are supposed to be pretty good as well - so people say.
Updated 2011/03/07: Took off a star because I found (IMHO) better burger places. Looking back now, this place is just too small and the burger paddies (meat) are not 'self-made'.
The vegetarian options are certainly alright, but also nothing special. They are what every other burger shop does nowadays. A little creativity could help.
I'd trim down the menu and do less. Less options, but higher quality.
Great burgers, might be the best ones in Berlin, and there are a lot of burgers to choose from. The onle problem with this place is that it's way to small. Considering how popular it is and that they have seats for like 10 people you usually end up eating while standing up. But to be honest with you, it's worth the risk because the burgers are really nice.
i wount be the first one to say thats the best place to have a burger in the area, i guess... but anyways... its the best place to have a burger here!!!
big choice, my favourite is mittle tereyaki burger..dont remember how to spell it right..mit kline pommes..und ketchup and mayo..
they were raited the first place by all that magazines for tourists or somethin..anyways check this out!
Well, I'm a veggie burger fan. I love Burgeramt for many reasons. Well, I live a few meters away, it's located on Boxi, they have a nice variety for vegetarians, the price is superb, the fries load is ridiculous and it's laid back . . .
I vacillated between giving it 3 stars or 4, so my real critique is with 3.5 stars. Anyways, it might just take you a little longer than you expect to get your burger. Nonetheless, bring some good company and you're in the clear.
My husband eats meaty burgers, he would give it 3 stars. Since it's cheap and close by, he's down with it. Nonetheless, he prefers 1. The Bird. 2. White Trash 3. Kreuzburger 4. HERE . . .and all the crap places claiming they serve burgers don't even get numbered after Burgeramt and are far behind.
The cheeseburger I ate wasn't half as good as in some other joints in Berlin. Especially the steak lacks quality.
best deal on fries in the hood we often get a large fries and split them between three peeps, and still can't even eat them all! wow. the prices are super cheap too. they also have some nice breakfast deals like english breakfast with bacon. yum! i am still waiting to try the veggie burgers. soon.
best burger I have tried in Berlin so far!
