Love this shop although my daughter is getting older now so don't visit as much as I would like.

Love the selection of animals, daughter loved the choosing, stuffing, fluffing and sewing in the heart that's available as well as ready made ones to choose from.

Great selection of accessories although sometimes a little expensive when you actually realise what you are spending it on!!

Had a birthday celebration here also and my daughter loved it and still remembers it.

Would recommend for anyone thinking of having a party here. Staff are great.

Build-a-bear Workshop is a place where best-friends are made!! These workshops are in many places around the world, so everyone can have a chance to make a best friend.

There are many steps to making a bear; pick your teddy, pick a voice for your teddy(if you choose), stuff your bear, stitch your bear, fluff your bear, dress your bear- you can also buy little, like, gadgets for your bear and then finally take him or her home! You also have the chance to go onto the computer and fill out you details so that you can have the latest news sent to you by mail and email!

When you take your bear home, you pay for the teddy and clothes you chose. You will take the bear home in an house-shaped box, it will include vouchers and your teddies certificate and many other things.

Build-a-bear also do parties that you can book at a very good offer. Build-a-bear is great!!

This is a great shop, even though it is rather expensive.
We have done a couple of kids parties here, and I must say it was really enjoyed.
It is worth going with a budget in mind for each child, we gave each child £20. This covered a bear and normally one outfit (as long as you didn't pick the most expensive bears).
The party organiser was very good with the kids and took them round, helped them stuff there bear, find clothes and then played some games with them. A picture was taken of the group and a autograph bear given to the birthday child for all their friends to sign, the organiser signed it too (this was part of the price).

My son went here on a pre-school trip and they made a class bear (who subsequently went home with one child every weekend). He loved it and for me that is good enough as he is the target audience. We did take him back a few weeks afterwards to buy him his own bear who proudly sports a pair of jeans and a 'planets' t-shirt.

Word of warning though - the price can add up when you buy all the clothes and accessories!

This has got to be one of the greatest ideas. You go in and choose your outer body for your soft toy, they have quite a few to choose from and then if you wish you can record your own message to put inside the bear so when it's stomach is pressed it'll say the message. You then have it stuffed, soft, medium or hard. then you have a heart put inside and then it's stitched up in front of you.

You can then choose an outfit for him/her. They have loads of outfits. You can buy vouchers and when you purchase a bear you get a birth certificate, so you can name it etc.

    Wicked idea.

My sister used to work for build a bear work shop, it is a brilliant idea, i dont know why i didnt think of it!? hehe

You firstly choose the outside of your teddy wether it be a bear a dog ect you can also pick it out an outfit. What happens next is the staff fill up the teddy with its cushioning and they take a little red fabric heart and tell the child to kiss it because (that brings the bear to life). after that the heart gets placed into the bear and then the bear is sown up.
The child also then gets to choose a name for their new bear and get given a certificate.

The bear is put into a box with its head sticking out like a pet carrier box which is pretty sweet.

These bears are a reasonable price and make great xmas presents especially if the child gets to see it made for themselves.

This is wrong - it's great idea alright but I don't like it - whenever I walk past I avert my eyes - it's perfectly indecent to shove an air pipe up a bears backside and stuff it in such a public way! How can a bear come to life for a child when they've watched it get stuffed. Can't condone it.

we brought our two daughters a bear each and they loved dressing them and looking after them. The staff are very friendly and helpful in there. The stuffing the teddy's is the best, how they just fill the teddy with how much stuffing you want. I will be going again soon when its time for our daughters birthday or other occasion for them. They have lots of different clothes and shoes for teddy bears to wear. The only problem is you think that they would do buy one get one half price or free?? Or even when you buy 4 items of clothing you get one outfit free. They need to do more offers.
