I visited this site last year and then agian last weekend with some friends. It is based in a most picturesque part of Northumberland, within minutes of Budle Bay and the fantastic views of Bamburgh.
The actual site itself leaves a lot to be desired. There are derelict caravans dotted all over, so not a great view when you first arrive.
There was a nice wee river running at the back of the site and we camped near that which was nice.
The toilets have seen better days, and though they had loo roll and hot water, they were grubby and smelly (be warned the male cleaner came into the ladies without knocking to clean).
The cost of the site was average, though the tarrif system was a bit complicated, with a range of prices for different sized tents (I couldn't decipher what size mine was) and then a price nightly per person too. So we payed £20 for 2 nights with 2 people.
There is a strict no noise after 11pm policy, which we adhered to, and then were shouted at by the manager the next day saying we were noisy until after 1.30am, this spoilt our stay and we left the campsite early, being denied a refund of our money.
All in all I would not stay here again, there is a nicer camsite with more amenities and cleaner, just around the corner.
