First off, I'd like to say that I have been a patient at this dentist since it very first opened. Irene is a fantastic dentist and to get the news that she was leaving was devastating. I spoke to Karen, the very lovely receptionist who always has time to have a chat with all the patients, and I was rudely interrupted by this woman coming from behind. She was very professionally introduced to me by Karen, but was dismissed by the dentist. I gave this new dentist the benefit of the doubt and attended my appointment. I questioned her experience as she did not seem to grasp what I wld assume to be the basics in dentistry! She tried to pressure me into having a private crown on a tooth that Irene very successfully filled and I've had no problems since. She also advised I have adult braces at a cost of £5000! I am shocked that this is the type of dentist Britedent has decided to replace Irene. I was told I has to return for follow up treatment, which I don't actually think is necessary, I booked an appointment for a week later and was subsequently cancelled 4 times in a row by the dentist. Well, Karen had the unfortunate job of having to call not only myself but I assume the other patients too. I feel the new dentist is not for me and as such I have decided to leave the practice for another. I wish Irene all the best and I will miss the chats with Karen. As dental staff go, Karen and Irene certainly put people at ease where as the dentist who is over taking only has pound signs in her eyes. Very very unprofessional. I give one star to Karen and the other star to Irene.
