Oh my god. My cousin got married at nearby Dissington Manor and had arranged a block of rooms here for guests. I think this was one of the divey-ist places I've ever stayed, and trust me, I've been in a few. The bathrooms were really grotty and run down, I could feel springs in my back when lying on the bed, and my husband and I were reluctant to even go barefoot in the bathroom. There was mold under the window and on the wall, and the room generally smelled bad. Actually, all of the guests I spoke with felt the same way. One couple immediately checked out after arriving and went across the street to the Sleep Inn, which they said was half the price and way better. The highlight was the breakfast, which was actually pretty decent. I wrote a letter upon returning home and the response was a 10% discount on my next stay!! Do not waste your money here.
