A great place to relax on Sat/Sun afternoon. Brew has a huge covered outdoor area with a beautiful tiled pizza oven as well as an extensive menu that includes an all-day brunch, which is sure to satiate most.
I ordered the Turkish eggs, which came with a good Jamie Oliver sized drizzle of chilli oil, lots of fresh herbs, hung yoghurt and toasted pide. It was delicious but a little too yoghurt-heavy for me. On the other hand my brother ordered the blueberry pancakes, which came in a stack piled high with maple syrup, a good dollop of crème fraiche and icing sugar. Unfortunately I wasn't able to steal a forkful but they smelt devine - total food envy!
Would happy return to Brew for a couple of afternoon brewskies and to try the pizza from their glorious outdoor oven.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kirst F.London2392610 Jun 2017
Brew Cafe in Putney has now closed. The new business in the same location is called Antipodea. Similar menu but the food is not the same. The Boston Bacon Beans had no bacon or molasses, just ordinary tomato baked beans. Smashed avocado wasn't smashed as was not ripe. Just hard. A couple of staff members could not communicate with us as appeared to not understand English. What a pity!

Repeatedly bad service. Not flexible on menu on things that are simple. (e.g. can I have a tomato on the side. The response was we have tomatoes, but we aren't allowed to give you one, because it's not on the menu. Talk about not flexible) Side dishes are overpriced.

I would never have discovered this place if not for a gathering organised by a bunch of friends and so glad they picked this spot. It's not quite on a busy high street so easy to miss. Their menus look great and I cannot wait to go back there...I was in a real dilemma when I was there for lunch...their brunch menu included some favourites like Turkish eggs, yummy looking pancakes etc but in the end, I followed the suggestions of some others in the group who had arrived earlier than me - the pulled pork burger with sweet potato fries were absolutely delish! Their mint cooler juice was a great complement and the bite of chocolate and hazelnut brownie I had left me asking for more... definitely a place marked as 'to visit again'!

Very nice interior, come here a couple times a month as I live across the street. Good food but have unfortunately been served the wrong thing almost every time I eat here (most usually being served a well done steak when I've asked for a rare). Used to come on friday nights to watch the film they used to show, bit disappointed they changed the showing times to wednesday night as me and my friends rarely have time to come round on a weekday night. Staff is friendly and usually do have an all around great experience when coming here!

Visited Brew in Putney recently on a beautiful sunny day. From outside their terrace area looked like the perfect place to spend a nice sunny lunchtime. Our order was taken fairly promptly and the juices we ordered arrived very soon after and to be fair were very good. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the same standard. I had ordered a burger and on picking it up enough grease to fill a standard glass dripped from the burger onto my trousers. Later in the meal I mentioned this to the manager who tried lecturing me about how this showed that the meat was good quality. My partners food of eggs was acceptable but nowhere good enough or sizeable enough to warrant the price charged.
Essentially we wanted to love Brew but left feeling that it was a place with an unduly inflated ego with an excessive price tag to match.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James M.London0110 Nov 2015
I am sure that if you order the right food this could be lovely, but I found the service reasonably indifferent to me as an individual (I felt like a customer rather than a client and in this market the later is definitely preferred), though competent. Where I felt really let down was the food. I had the chicken skewer and I honestly don't know what I was expecting. 'marinaded' in garlic and lemon is what it says on the menu, but if the colour and flavour were anything to go by, 'placed near garlic and lemon in a post ironic statement on hipster culture' would have been closer to the truth. They forgot the pineapple, which may have been a blessing, but was surprising as it was the only other item listed on the menu. No.
