My companion and I were here one evening, as we were invited by some friends. We already had dinner, so all we did was drink beer.
They brew their own beer, and as with every German brewery, they only serve a pils, a hefeweizen, a dark beer, and some other special brew. Nothing else. Egal, purity laws aside, I do like their brews.
I took the four-beer sampler, which is basically 0,1 liter each of the four brews that are currently available. I enjoyed them very much, and it was very palatable and smooth to the touch. I just wish that they did more varieties than those allowed by draconian beer laws. But I suppose that's not the brewery's problem.
I won't mind going back here again for a beer. They also offer German pub food: it looked mouth-watering, but I was too full to eat at that time.
Took some friend's from out of town here after visiting the castle. It was okay!
The inside is nice looking because it feels like a genuine cleaned up brauhaus, but that was about it. The food was good but overpriced for what it was. I know that it's because of the locations but it could still stand to be a 1.50-2.50 cheaper. I paid 9euro for a sausage that I can get for 2.50-3euro at the Christmas market right in front of the castle!!!
Although, my friend's and I left pleased, I don't think I will be bringing anyone else back there.
Sat outside to enjoy the view. Waiter watched us sit down but was apparently too busy talking to other waiter friends. No one ever came by the 10 minutes we sat there. So we left. There is a great hungarian/German restaurant within a block.
