Bodycare has been one of those lifesaver places whenever you are on a budget but need your basic bathroom and body care (really no pun or word play intended at all) supplies.
I dipped in for the first time when I actually very rarely for me ran low on deodorant, I normally have at least 4 cans in supply at any given time, and I was instantly hooked in by the cut price branded products. Normally I shell out over the £2.50 mark for my deodorant but in here I paid just £1.19, same with that Imperial Leather bath foam can stuff, £2.49 in boots, £1.49 in here, face wipes 99p, savlon cream, other bits of shower gels and soaps and face washes and creams that you normally will pay over the odds for in places like Boots and the like are so much cheaper here. And whilst the queues also look mega long and you'll lose valuable seconds of your life, the super quick staff may not say anything, but they are super rapido. Big Brands Cheap Prices!
My first experience of Bodycare was in Wakefield, field of the dead, and so it didn't put a positive swing on the place really. Bracing myself I popped into the Leeds branch hoping for a more pleasant experience and that, thankfully, came true.
Avoiding the peak hours - which are pretty tough - I popped in to grab a bargain on my hair products and shower gels, which I did, but in fact ended up spending more than I planned on account of all their notorious deals. Crafty Bodycare. Naughty Bodycare. It was all part of their devious plan.
I'm not certain that they are cheaper than Wilkos, but then, I haven't been so bothered that I have found out. They certainly have a huge range of choice, from the more typically expensive to the very cheap, and so you'll be certain to find what you need. Essentially they are cool if you are nearby and need shampoo - but watch yourself, there are deals there that are set to trap you!
Bodycare has always been the 'pop in and grab a bargain' shop to me.
Perfect for students like me who don't want to spend a bomb on beauty products.
They sell anything you could want for your bath and shower and also have an excellent range of popular perfumes such as Dolce & Gabbana, Cacharel and Britney Spears. And yes, you guessed it, at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay at other high street retailers.
Bodycare is constantly getting new ranges of stock so look out for more of your favourite brands appearing at lower prices.
If you can bear the queues on a Saturday, this place is ace. If I'm going past and need anything, I'll come here for all my toiletries as they're great value for money. The best bargains to be had are the aftershaves and perfumes though. The prices are so low because they don't provide testers, so the trick is to be sneaky and nip to somewhere else to try them out, then come back here to save your pennies. On average they're about £10-£15 cheaper for the premium stuff (Emporio Armani was a right bargain and smells grrrrrreat).
Also pretty good for things like Christmas pressies for the ladies in your life that you never know what to get (my brothers' girlfriends always get something fancy from here - they did a really nice wooden box with loads of lush smellies and accessories in last year, I hope they've got similar this year).
Ahem, they also do rudey stuff like that new Durex range of toys and stuff. Apparently.
I've removed four stars thanks to yesterday's rubbishy shopping experience at Bodycare, in which the really aggressive manager refused to honour the labelled price of some aftershave because she was 'about to change them anyway'. I'm not being funny, love, but if you'd done it before the shop opened it'd probably have saved me writing a letter to your head office about how appalling your attitude is.
If, like me, you resent paying anything more than a quid for shampoo yet don't want hair like Stig of the Dump every morning, Bodycare is a great place to come to pick up name brand toiletries at bargain-basement prices. There's buy one free on lots of stuff, and as well as recognisable mid-range brands they stock a lot of posher stuff too, including Aussie hair products and Lush-style bath bombs. A good place to come for presents, they have lots of boxed sets at Christmas and brand name perfumes at about £10 cheaper than they are in Boots. Just be prepared to queue - this place gets manic at the weekends.
Full of cheap toiletries get place to stock up on everything you need for the bathroom. They stock a large selection of famous brands. I love a good rummage through there bargin bins. It does get busy but theres a few tills and its worth it for the savings.
great for treating yourself to the odd facemask, and also great for xmas pressies!! loads of great gift sets for mums and grandmas.
one thing to think about tho, i was out shopping and needed to babywipes so bought bodycares own wipes. completely regret it tho as they gave my daughter a horrible rash. i felt awful. but it makes you wonder what cheap and nasty things they are putting in the baby products????
Situated in the St.Johns Centre, this place doesn't get off to a good start, however this is just the shop you might expect from a place like this. It fits in perfectly with the McDonalds and Poundland situated on the top floor of the shopping centre. This place is just cheap, it looks cheap, it sells cheap, and well it's cheap. Bad thing or good thing, you decide, I however hate it in here. Full from top to bottom with beauty products this place is not prized on aesthetics. However when I need hair dye (I dye my hair a lot, bleaching is so high maintenance) this is my go-to place. They sell well - known brands but at a discounted price. Its perfect for students who at the end of the term can't even afford a bottle of shampoo, I've been there. Only I asked my parents for money instead of coming here. Okay, it's not that bad! I just wouldn't have any desire to come here. I feel like I'm being a bit of a snob, to give it some credit, it is always busy and if you need anything cosmetic wise, they will have it at a low cost price and you can't get much better than that.
i always buy my granma or mum something from here for xmas. they do some decent gift sets. get my self a cheeky lil mango skin cream thing too.. does wonders. xD.. helpfull staff.. smells devine..but dont sniff to hard or you will get a headache..top notch place.. i find the indevidual items expensive. but the sets are cheap. and they have plenty of specal offers on and free gifts..
