While the food isn't the most amazing, BlueOrange was one of my go-to spots during my 8-day stay in Vienna. This cafe is a perfect spot for breakfast, an afternoon caffeine fix or a make-shift office space where you can do uninterrupted work for several hours. They serve bagels, wraps, waffles (so good!), Ben & Jerry's ice cream, coffee/tea, and beer/wine. There is an outdoor patio for those of you who want to smoke and plenty of indoor seating as well. The space is clean, the wifi reliable, and the folks behind the counter are friendly and speak english.
They do not accept credit cards, but there is an atm in the Spar Grocery across the street and another one on the corner of Lichtenstein.
Anyone who has lived in the U.S. for a long time gets cravings for a bagel every once in a while. And in my opinion there is no better place than Blue Orange for a really good bagel - whether plain or with various fillings. Prices are fair and food is good. They also have the occasional special like the red cabbage with sweet mustard wrap I had the other day and this combo was surprisingly delicious!
I am deducting one star because the only thing I am missing is a DYI bagel that let's me choose among a set selection of ingredients to build my own bagel. Other than that: top!
Gluten free bagels and coffee made to order. Yum. The bagels leave a little to be desired, but watching how careful they are with utensils and cross contamination concerns was impressive. Order the bagel and butter? You get one pat of butter. One. For the entire bagel.
Have brought local friends here though for the bagels, everyone seems to enjoy them. Not as common as one might imagine in these parts, so having the option and the proper accoutrements (i.e. cream cheese, lox, etc..) is a nice benefit.
Definitely take it to go, the table service is slow, and god forbid you want to order something more after you've placed the first order. Don't forget your blueorange card that gets you a free cup of coffee at the end.
If your looking for a great tasting coffee for a great price, then blueorange is the place to go. Not only that blueorange has to be my favorite place for American style ham and eggs. The place also serves great tasting bangles with different types of fillings. The service is not the fasted, but they are friendly and helpful. The blueorange also has lunch specials for a great price and lots of different type of American drinks and ice cream.
Cute bagel place with super friendly service. Decent prices and variety. Good bagels and even a good simple Belgian waffle. The guacamole bagel was not very good, lacked flavor, however I did enjoy the spicy breakfast ham, jalapeños, and cheese in a tortilla. The American and rustic bagels are tasty. You can even buy frozen bagels to take away! For a quick breakfast or lunch, check it out!
Free wifi and generous coffee sizes. Their breakfasts are plentiful, a little pricey, but a comfortable hangout. Limited outdoor seating since the regulars hog it - but cant blame them. It's so nice out. Bagels aren't great, but a nice find that is atypical of Viennese breakfast.
Not too bad bagels are good but the ingredients could do with some improvement
I'm a fan! Delicous bagels with cream cheese and coffee on the run is pure heaven for me.
The bagles, soups, sandwiches etc are excellent if a little pricy. They have a big selection of teas and the coffee is very good. Some old favourites (africola, ben&jerry's ice cream, ...) round out the menu. Try the muffins- they are unbelievable. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant has free wifi (fast and glitch free!) and on a warm day you can sit outside and people watch. This bagle shop has over the years become the extension of my living room- I love it!
