This library in the Latin Quarter looked like a business office from outside because of the bare look. If you didn't know what 'bibliotheque' means, you probably won't know that it was a library and that it offered FREE WIFI!!!
My hostel did not have a wifi when I stayed in Paris, rather, it had computers that you rent out for very cheap. I had the pleasure of watching people - old people, kids, college kids - at this library while I update my family and friends about being alive half a world away. If you are staying longer in Paris, the library can set you up a card that you may use in order to access their internet, provided you show a valid passport. I was there for a short time so I believe I was given a password (I can't remember, it wasn't the main highlight of the trip).
Just a thought if you want to read or use the computer in case you didn't bring your macbook/iPhone, the bibliotheque has free wifi and computers you can use. :)
