Now I'm not horticulturalist, however I have been known to enjoy watching the Chelsea Flower Show with quite intense attention.

Anyway, with many avid horticulturalists in my family and being the opportunist I am I wandered into Beryl's in search of a suitable gift. Now I tend to buy floral gift on the basis of them looking nice, or with prospect of them looking nice, so I found myself visually bombarded with lots of potential gifts. With some advice from the staff I ended up acquiring a variety of vegetable seeds, a boquet and a small pot of cress.

A successful trip indeed, I'd recommend Beryl's for all of your floral needs.

This small florist offers a selection of flowers, plants and pots. They are an Interflora agent so you can send flowers to that special someone even if they are miles away. They are pretty reasonable in terms of prices and always have a good selection in. They will construct a bouquet for you or you can select one of the many pre-made bundles, or put something together yourself.

Outside, at the front of the shop, there is a small selection of hanging baskets, bedding plants and other seasonal items for use in your garden, or for a gift. The staff are friendly and the shop is a lovely cool spot on a hot summers day!

I emailed this florist to enquire about organising a wreath for my Mom's funeral at Lodge Hill Crematorium. They didn't even bother to reply!

I am notoriously poor at buying gifts, especially when it comes to purchasing something for female members of my family. I have consistently disappointed my mother on birthdays and Christmases, that was until I decided to get Beryl's World of Flowers to help me out. Located on Raddlebarn road this place is wall to wall flowers and although I'm no expert I have to say the arrangements looked and smelled fantastic! It's not cheap though; with small summer gift bags setting you back the pricey sum of twenty two pounds; however I have been informed by more knowledgeable people that this is fairly standard pricing when it comes to the floral world. You also have the comfort of knowing that your arrangements are being lovingly put together by someone who knows what they're doing, I'm also pleased to say that my mother informed that the flowers were considerably better than any of my previous gift offerings!
