I am a real fan of all the Benefit products and love how nicely they're all packaged. Sometimes I want to buy things in here just because of the names they've given their products like- 'Dr Feel Good' and 'Bad Gal Lash'. Everything in here is very girly and there is a deliberate sway towards 1940s old fashioned glamour.
I've been in this shop a couple of times and found the service to be a bit mixed. Sometimes a girl will pop up as soon as you walk through the doors to ask if she can help you and other times there's not even been someone at the till to pay! Personally I prefer the smaller shop in Angel because generally the service is a lot better. However, this is probably not going to be enough to stop me from filling my basket in this store too. Benefit's products are brilliant and even though the service can be slow, when an assistant does arrive they're always very helpful.
you know that dream where you realize that you're in your underwear (or naked) in front of a room full of people...
...well, the Benefit store has a way of making you feel like that.
I was on my lunch break and I had an impulsive need for brow and lip touch-up. I figured, the store was empty, why not. Surprise, surprise...all the waxing is done at the counter....facing the GIGANTIC window...in from of a pub where I became the source of entertainment for an all MALE audience. o.m.g.
I swear, I think one of the guys actually lifted his pint up in my honor...er horror.
side note: the ladies at Benefit were lovely and they did a fabulous job. But would I ever go back? No.
I have to restrain myself whenever I come here I usually want everything!
I am a huge fan of Benefit anyway... but have only been in here twice! The first time the staff were all over me, one sat me down and tried out lots of different products on me which was nice! I wasn't completely restrained that day and ended up buying mascara, Boeing concealer and some tint. ££The second time I came in here there was only one girl assisting, so it took ages to get served. I guess they were short staffed that day!
Benefit's Spitalfields store is a spacious and characterful space stocking all of the cult cosmetics company's famed products.
In addition, this particular branch of retro cosmetics company of San Fran provenance has on-site beauticians who offer customers brow and lash tints, waxing and other beauty treatments.
I love the Benefit makeup brand. I can proudly (or maybe not-so-proudly) say that I own almost every item in their range. For real. So of course, finding a Benefit store close to home is like a kid living close to a candy store. Yes, it's gorgeous, with in-store staff on hand for beauty treatments and waxing. However, I've been in the store a couple of times and both times have been completely ignored by the staff. Even when there was noone else in the store noone approached me or offered any assistance. Such a disappointment, considering the Benefit girls are usually super helpful. Won't be hurrying back.
