Often get great comedy at The Bearcat in St. Margarets, Twickenham on Saturday nights - although there is a break during Summer - see website bearcatcomedy.co.uk . The club is in an old hall attached to The Turk's Head pub in Winchester road - at the cul de sac end ( where it meets the A316). It is a 5 min walk from St. Margaret's station. Parking can be difficult as the residential roads are packed with cars.
Well established club has been running for years. Used to get really smokey before the smoking ban as the ceiling is low. Much more comfortable now as eyes don't sting. There is an area for smokers outside the hall.
Have seen loads of high profile acts there but especially like local man Milton Jones and the crazy duo - The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue. Omid Djallili is a regular when trying out new material. Nina Conti springs to mind... and so many more.
Loos for ladies are few and there is often a queue but during the breaks can rush into the pub next door. Also is often quicker to get your drinks there as well, as the bar can get busy.
Friendly club. Good value night out.
