The coffee shop in the Bayview Centre in Colwyn Bay is sort of an open air, indoor cafe if that makes sense (if it doesn't go and have a look and you'll see what I mean). It sits in an open space close the town side entrance to the precinct.
It's not a place for fine dining but it is a decent enough, and certainly convenient place, for a cuppa or a piece of toast. The prices are reasonable and you can sit and watch everyone else go about their business. It always seems to be busy which is always a good sign.
Personally I think this place really benefitted from the ban on smoking indoors and is now far more pleasant and enjoyable than it used to be.
this is a weird one. you cant really call it a coffee shop. they rarely call places coffee shops, they normally go with cafe, but this one is not a shop yet they call it a shop. you see, shops have walls, whereas this one just has barrier type things to make a seating area. the cafe has come a long way from its first inception many years ago, they revamped the whole food preparation area, and now it looks much trendier. they do nice milkshakes here, thats what I always used to get. there are some frequent characters here, so its a good place to go if you are into people watching, or if you want to chat to strangers. you can also watch the shoppers go by. i have not bought food there for a while, but looking through the counter, it looks pretty bog standard yet acceptably good stuff.
