    It's a friendly branch but there are sometimes long ques, however at these times a member of staff usually comes up and asks what you need, in case they can divert you to the business counter or express pay in. I am always made to feel welcome and the staff are always nice and friendly.

    Talk about LOUSY customer service.

    As a child I had a savings account with Bank of Scotland, set up by my family. When I move here, I wanted to open an account with them and transfer the money I had into the new one.
    I came here with all the required bits of paper, and the manager I was talking to said everything was fine and that within 2 weeks I would get my bank card etc.

    After three weeks of no-show of the card or any documents I came back to enquire what was going on.
    I have to add here, that this branch is tiny, and understaffed for the volume of customers it receives. There are always ques and the strange set up makes it confusing as to where to stand or go if you have an appointment. To fix this, they have an extra member of staff to guide you. All rather confusing and adds to the irritation.

    The person I spoke to this time, after tapping for what seemed like ages on his PC said that there was a glitch along the application but they had failed to contact me about it. After taking my details again he said I should be getting all I needed within 10 days.

    So after 2 weeks I went back again, quite angry with the whole situation. The man said that the same glitch had appeared. I asked why they couldn't contact me about it instead of thinking that the post got lost. He sheepishly said that it wasn't his position etc etc.

    I closed my account and took my custom elsewhere.

    If this is how they are going to treat international students then of course they will loose a lot of customers. Add to this the slow service and the lack of efficiency they seem to have for their smaller clients then Eek methinks not indeed!
