I booked BA transfer on a recommendation from a colleague. During the tube strike, they picked me up in a really timely manner from my office in central London, and whizzed me out to terminal 5. On the way home, the driver was patiently waiting for me at arrivals with a sign which said my name. So easy. I would recommend to others and it's very, very competitive price wise. The drivers drive better than most other minicab agencies I've experienced and the office was pretty reasonable at sorting out a change of drop off for me.
I booked BA Transfer for bringing my parents to and from the airport this week, and we had a nice experience with them. You can book online which is good for people like me who don't really like using phones and who also don't have good reception where they live. You can also either pay online, over the phone, or by cash to the driver. You could also book a return journey for a later date, if I remember for a small discount. When looking around other minicab websites, this one seemed the least expensive, and they even have a deal that you get around 10-15% off for creating an account on their website.
Also really helpful is that on the website you tell them what your flight arrival is and then can ask to come at a specific time later, and they'll track your flight so that if your flight ends up being early or delayed they get there earlier or later, respectively.
The driver we had got to the airport on time and was very courteous and helpful. They also picked my parents up at their hotel when they had to go back to Heathrow and got there on time. Everything went very smoothly, and considering the prices and convenience I would definitely use BA Transfer again.
Best private Taxi service for the airports I've used so far. Very good online interface, with text message updates and email alerts. You can pay online in advance or just select cash and give it to the driver at the end. The prices are consistently the lowest and way cheaper than getting a black cab or the local minicabs near where I live.
I've always got a nice people carrier (MPV) despite selecting the cheaper saloon car. It's a fiver more to get picked up from Heathrow than to go there as the driver has to pay for the carpark and then wait around with your name on a sign.
Of course, the online system has a box where you can put in whatever you want the driver to have on his sign....
tempted to go for 'Amanda Huggenkiss' next time.
I booked online through their website about one week in advance of my pick-up. I booked a return trip to Heathrow Airport from Stanmore (HA7) for an 8 passenger van at a cost of 100 pounds.
The driver arrived to our home about 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time which allowed us to load up and depart on time. He had the reserved car seats available and installed. He was also very courteous and both careful and efficient in handling our luggage. He provided a safe and swift service to Terminal 5. After helping us to unload we gave a tip and went our merry way.
The return journey was not quite as smooth. I schedule the pick-up time for 8:00, however our plane was delayed almost an hour. BA Transfer claim to check the status of flights prior to dispatching their drivers. However our driver arrived at around 7:00 and then left a few minutes before we exited the International Arrivals around 9:00 a.m. True to their word though there was no additional charge for the length of wait. This driver did not have the correct car seats for our journey home and did not seem as competent as the first driver. We did however arrive home safely.
Excellent Value. We booked this company based on references we found on a cruise site for a transfer from Heathrow to Harwich. The two of us had four bags total. We expected that we would probably do something different when we came back, but liked the service and value so much that we booked them again to take us to our hotel in Chelsea when our cruise returned. Then we found that they were less expensive than a "regular taxi" or the Hilton's shuttle service to take us back to Heathrow. Each of the three times the driver was on time. The last time he actually was half an hour early, but he waited in the lobby for us, so it was not an issue. Each time they had a sign with our name. The cars were not fancy, but clean, reasonably priced, and most importantly could fit all of our stuff in them. They were also great at being right there as we arrived at the International Terminal and helping us with taking our luggage out. Taking it out from the Cruise Terminal at Harwich, and putting it in the car at the Hilton. I felt like overall we had a good experience. I would definitely use them again.
We are one of the pioneers in Airport Transfers. We operate in London to and from all Airports and post code to post code transfers, cruise transfers etc. We operate 24/7. Now we have expanded our services out of London too.
Established in 1992.
We have started with 10 drivers and we have 150 drivers. We are continuously expanding the areas we operate.
I started operating this before 10 years and I enjoy it.
This user has arrived from Qype, a European company acquired by Yelp in 2012. We have integrated the two sites to bring you one great local experience.
