Pros When renovating our house, we bought most of our materials and accessories from this store. It is situated in a nice spot and there is ample parking. The store has been divided into two buildings, one housing kitchens bathrooms and flooring while the other has paints, power tools, garden furniture and plants. The stores are generally clean and well maintained. It is often easy to find something that you are looking for. The staff are also very helpful and they do try their best to help you in whatever way possible. Thumbs up to them.
Cons Slightly pricy compared to Wickes (from where you can get the same material for a lower price).
Due to my recent numerous runs to this and other similar stores the staff have gotten to know me a little, which creates a welcoming atmosphere. this morning they got those self-service paying points which was a little temperamental.
B&Q has most DIY things you could ask for, although im not happy about the smallest, tiniest things being packaged. i went to get some 15mm copper elbow and quite frankly stunned at why they dont have a bucket of lose ones - its like individually packaged penny sweets!
this mornings visits was particularly memorable, as i pulled in i was greeted by the metropolitan police who offered to place security screws on my car's number plate which inhibits those in need of other's reg plates from removing mine! this was a free service so i got them done!
