This is an absolutely enormous shop! I feel like Gulliver in here but it means that there is a really large range of things to choose from. The only problem being that it can take you ages to find it and its easy to lose your kids (is that a good or bad thing???? lol). They have a small garden section which does good deals on plants and I have had many 'almost dead' plants go on to bloom! There are regular reductions and special offers and the staff are really friendly. I beleive OAPs can get discounts on Tuesdays so send granny shopping for you!
This is a HUGE shop.
I can recommend their own brand 1 coat paint which made a real difference to my life this summer. It did need two coats but then I was painting over shiney dark pink paint and it did cover really well.
They also have a great selection of reasonably priced tiles.
On the other hand they don't stock a lot of wood. I wanted a bit of wood trim and they had a very limited selection but they did point me towards a timber yard which I guess was helpful.
Very handy, enormous DIY superstore with pretty much anything you might need for household DIY - although sometimes you might need assistance getting it down from the very high shelves! They have a small garden centre, which could be more comprehensive - there's little in the way of planters, for instance, and only one or two choices for compost bins - but has a good stock of herbs, flowers, shrubs and trees.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly but sometimes stock is difficult to find or get information about, and that's why it doesn't get five stars.
Good parking, very accessible, and not usually too busy.
