This place is one of the best b&q stores I've ever visited especially since it was revamped at the end of 2008.
Because its so large I often go the extra distance instead of going to my nearer store in Cleveleys.
One issue I always experience here - which is the only negative my I add! is that staff are never around when you need to ask tem a question and those that are around often inform me they are the 'wrong' member of staff for my query.
If you're going for paint mixing don't go if you're in a hurry - staff are never around there and you can stand there for ages before anyone notices
Went to buy fittings for a toilet seat. A complete new toilet seat was cheaper! Only 1 person on the tills and 1 person watching 4 of those self service tills. When will people understand that's around 3 less people employed.
DO NOT USE THESE SELF SERVICE TILLS AND EMPLOYMENT WILL IMPROVE.
An extensive range of goods and merchandise, however having visited the store 2 staff walked past me with their heads down with the attitude that they were not approachable, I also found that a lot of the aisles were not priced up properly and their was a general disarray about their displays, prices missing, demo products damaged and general untidiness. Something that could be easily rectified with the right management and merchandising. I will still shop here but only on the fact of I know what I need and can pre-order online.
Extremely large branch of the ever popular B & Q chain with everything you could possibly ever need from a fitted kitchen to a nail. Large car park with a separate section for trade, who also have their own dedicated checkout section. Large garden section including lots of plants and associated equipment, feed and potions. There's also a cafe in the store although it was empty when I visited. Ample parking and conveniently located on the outskirts of Blackpool, close to the M55 motorway. I had heard that this branch had gone totally self service, much to the displeasure of many folks, but when I visited today there was one staffed checkout and all the rest were self service. I've never really seen how much they gain from the whole self service checkout system really though as there always seems to be a small army of staff overseeing the whole procedure at any one time whenever I visit! :-)
