Aura Hair salon is a small salon on Aigburth Road, close to Lark Lane. It is a classy looking salon which is clean, tidy and well decorated. The staff are very friendly, greeting you warmly when you enter. They have a range of options available for a hair cut to match your budget. The Senior Stylists are the most expensive as the Junior Stylists are the cheapest.
The shampoos and conditioners used and on sale in Aura are the expensive Tigi range. They smell delicious and make your hair feeling amazing. I've bought products from here when there has been a special offer for a shampoo and conditioner set and loved them.
The stylists are very professional and really take the time to ensure you, and they, know exactly what you want. The trainees wash you hair in preparation for the cut and give you a lovely head massage when they apply the conditioner.
The stylist then takes over to begin your cut. Again they take their time making sure they give you an excellent cut, blow drying it exactly how you want it. They also give you tips on styling your hair when you've washed it, and different ways you can wear your new style. They ask if you want any products and if you say yes they will recommend the best products for your hair, but if you decline they do not pressure you into buying anything.
An excellent professional salon.
Situated on Aigburth road with a bus route into the city centre .Aura is a lovely trendy hairdressers with fabulous stylists, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced , easy to park .
I took my daughter there for a haircut once and the hairdresser booked to do the cut refused to do it after consultation with me, as she thought it was just "wrong" for a little girl to have a pixie cut! As a result, there was considerable delay as she asked her colleague (who was already busy with a client) to do my daughter's hair. Her colleague then did a really bad job of it - when we got home, we realised that the right side of my daughter's hair was shorter than the left side! They charged us £10 for it and I didn't bother complaining because it was much cheaper than say, Voodou, but I have been taking my daughter to Voodou to have her hair cut ever since then.
