My original comments are below and I wish to change them. ( I have left them to show the change) The pub has gone way uphill since Scott has taken over this pub, its now clean and although its till a working mans pub it is now worth a visit and is one of the cheapest establishments within the town centre. The bar staff are now friendly apart from a little monkey on a Saturday, who needs to understand that if the punters want to watch the footie match on a Saturday lunchtime, then he should not put his rugby on, as he does not like footie. The toilets still need a overhaul and are still small and dingy. However it is now clean is far better than my last review. My old review is now below this: (now up from 1 star to 3) What can I say about this pub. Don't go there. I went there once, must have been on giro day. The place stunk and the windows, mirrors and furniture had not been cleaned for months. The toilets are truly awful. I brought a pint and the smell coming from behind the bar was actually turning my stomach. I left the bar without finishing my pint and have never been back. It does seem like the unemployed alchoholics use this pub.
