I spent 4 years of my life studying at Aston and I can honestly say they were the best 4 years of my life. I must be honest I didn't particularly take the task of choosing a university seriously (Aston was the first in the UCAS book to offer a marketing course!). That said, once I'd been for an open day having also visited Plymouth, Nottingham and Birmingham, there was no chance that I'd want to go anywhere else. The first thing you notice is how green and spacious the campus is, which is quite impressive when you consider it is slap bang in the centre of England's 'second city'. I stayed in the new Lakeside halls during my first year and would recommend them highly, for my other years I lived off campus. The facilities at Aston were perfect for me when studying and I always found the quality of teaching and support to be superb. I would definitely recommend anyone planning on studying a business related degree to consider Aston.
The campus buildings are a bit outdated and there seems to be far too many people in the classrooms, but apart from that it looks kind of ok.
A nice friendly campus. It is conveniently located at a ten minute walking distance from the city centre. The staff are always willing to help and lecturers are easy to approach. There are a variety of societies catering to everyones needs and the student guild plays a key role.
