The best kid's friendly restaurant in Welwyn Garden City town centre (admittedly that's a very small club). The food is consistently good - not amazing but we're not after haute cuisine. Staff are always friendly and accomodating especially with the kids. The kid's menu offers a good range - the portion size is for bigger kids, so when we get a kid's spaghetti bolognaise portion we get a separate bowl and can feed the youngest.
On a side note, for the summer I've been on a low-carb diet and there are a few decent options, though it is very tempting with the amount of pizzas and calzones. Looking forward to the autum when I can eat all that again!
I like Ask. They do nice pasta and good pizzas. They have a decent childrens menu too. Children also recieve a little activity pack to amuse themselves.
This Ask, is on two levels and they offer a take away pizza service. The manager is always very friendly.
There is never a long wait and we are usually seated straight away.
Service is okay, sometimes a bit slow, sometimes great.
It can be busy on the weekends, later in the evenings.
I find the main courses here to be consistently good. They do a large range of pasta and pizza dishes and the food usually arrives pretty quickly.
The food is cooked from scratch and they are happy to substitute certain toppings on pizzas etc. As a vegan, they are happy to serve pizzas without cheese and were able to tell me which of their pastas contained eggs (very impressed!)
Last time I went, my sister ordered a dessert and was very disappointed by the tiny portion. Not impressive as the desserts are not cheap.
When I went with my parents they were so helpful! I wanted the Arrosto goats cheese salad, but with cos lettuce instead of mixed leaves, and without balsamic glaze. They were more than happy to oblige! (That salad is delicious by the way)
Try their sticky toffee pudding. TO. DIE. FOR.
Me and my boyfriend have been here twice in the last few months. We always find the service to be excellent, food is good and we never have to wait long. One of my favourite restaurants.
Went for a birthday party a couple of weeks ago. poor service but the food was ok, when it arrived...... been before and they were brilliant so probably just a one off. they were very apologetic and i was assured it wouldnt happen again .
