This place has the usual cure and cuddly superstars.  There are plenty of ducks, chickens, goats, etc.  Go at the right time of year and you'll see chicks and lambs and the children can hold the fluffy yellow chicks or feed the lambs if they want.

There are also pigs, the odd cow and horse too.  All of the animals are pretty much under shelter too do it makes it a good place to go even in rainy weather.

The playgrounds are really rather good.  The thing that all children and adults alike seem to enjoy hugely is the giant inflatable pillow.  It is what it says, but is great fun.  There's also an indoor play area which caters really well for younger children too.

You can take a picnic, but there is a restaurant which sells kids lunch boxes.  You can also buy animal food on entry so that you can feed the animals as you go round.  It's not a cheap pace to go, but for a day out I think it's pretty good value for money.

A great place to bring kids and I must admit I tagged along because I knew I would enjoy it too. There's an indoor and outdoor section to this farm. To purchase a ticket to both it's priced at £9.95 for children and adults for £6.50.

They have many animals here such as:

    Lambs
    Horses
    Goats
    Cows
    Chickens
    Ducks
    Chicks
    and pigs

You can hold the chicks and watch the eggs hatch. There is different play areas, on ewith a still tractor for the kids to play on and there is even an indoor play area with a ball pool and slides. A great place to come summer or winter. Theres places to eat and for the amount of fun and entertainment you get it is well worth the money.

They have a santa here over Christmas and you can also book out areas for birthday parties.

Enjoyable no matter what your age. A fun day out with family and friends.

From feeding the animals, to pony rides and sitting and playing with them. Picnics on the hay barrels and being creative with the sheeps wool.

Ideal for parties - I should know, I still remember mine from 10 or so years ago.

A lovely day out - even in the middle of winter. Ash End presents the usual petting opportunities with horses, lambs, cows, goats, rabbits etc,. but you also get lots of input from the staff and its really informative. Its a beautiful working farm set on the outskirts of Tamworth with lots of beautiful scenery available nearby.
I found it to be well laid out generally and easy to get round even with a buggy. Besides the main area housing the animals there is an indoor play area featuring toy tractors etc,. (for under 5s only I believe), an outdoor park facility (think traditional wood), plenty of grass and seating for pinics, a fab gift shop, and a decent restaurant (with fresh farm produce for sale).
Parties are available with various options including a tour, hot or cols meal and playtime on the equipment. They also do craft based parties for older kids, and a 'star in your own play' option for any budding 'luvvies'.
My son has been to a few of these parties over the years and they have always been well-organised and the grub was spot on. They eat in a beautiful converted barn that is decorated for the paty child. Its probably I would say got a cut off age of about 6 though, unless your child is particularly into animals specifically.
We have attended other events here, they do try and do seasonal stuff - like egg hunts at Easter, and a nativity tour at Christmas - you get the idea.
I would imagine this would make a good school trip location too - as there are many interactive and educational aspects.
The only one issue ever I have encountered here is with parking - when there are a couple of parties on they can get very short of space.

My 4 year old went on a trip with her nursery at Xmas to Ash End House Farm in Tamworth and enjoyed it thoroughly. Feedback from the teachers was that it is extremely well organised. I decided to take my daughter at Easter as they had Easter related activities and we certainly were not disappointed. The weather held up for us, although many activities are under cover so bad weather is no excuse to not attend. Activities included feeding the goats, hens, rabbits and other cute farm animals (animal feed, a badge and entrance is included in the entrance price). The activities included collecting your egg with your childs name on it, a chance to sit on and pet a pony/horse, and watching a very entertaining Punch and Judy show. There are also many creative activities like mechanical goat and cow milking devices. The play area and seating area to eat your own or shop bought food was great. The locally produced ice cream was fabulicious..and I am addicted to ice cream so I KNOW what I am talking about. Please go, ideal for under 6 year olds and upto 10 yrs old if kids have not been to a farm and would appreciate it. I definately will go again.

great place to take little kids.

schools usually organise trips here, i myself went on one when i was little.

we got to choose an egg, get our name put on it then take it home to do what ever we wanted with it.

it is really aimed at younger kids, but great to take them if they are bored or for a birthday.
