A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Though the building itself has a hit or miss charm the shop, the owner and the animals are all excellent. Not only was the owner busy cleaning out what looked to be already reasonably clean enclosures, he was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate.
The shop is located in a fairly obscure location but once there you will not regret the journey. If your located in Liverpool and the surrounding area I would seriously recommend taking the journey to visit Art's. I personally travelled from Halewood, having gone to literally every other store in Liverpool I would recommend these above all others.
I am in no way affiliated with the store nor the owner. I have some 7 years experience in keeping various domestic and exotic creatures. I can say with confidence this place is worth the visit, just look past the aesthetics and see the charm of the place.
Arts Aquatic & Animals is located within the grounds of Buckles Garden Centre and Nursery on Field Lane, just off Valley Road and not far from the M57 junction. Cark parking is free and it is well worth a look if you are in the area. They sell a range of unusual pets and pet supplies and the staff are very friendly as well as knowledgeable and happy to offer advice. I visit here regularly mainly to buy fish food when I'm visiting the garden centre but stay to look at the animals - they have possibly the largest rabbit I have ever seen and my two children love visiting the snakes.
