I live in California and ordered flowers to be delivered on my friend's birthday (she lives in London) a couple of days later, and the date and time frame was confirmed in an email from the company. Because I had ordered the flowers, I waited with contacting my friend, as I wanted the flowers to be a complete surprise and thought of them as my birthday greeting. Imagine my surprise when my friend calls me the day AFTER her birthday and thanks me for the flowers she just received. Arenaflowers.com had not notified me that the flowers were running a day late, and thus I didn't know to call my friend and let her know a delayed gift was on its way.
A delay can happen, I understand that, but it is unacceptable that I wasn't notified about it, even by email, since I live in CA. It makes me look like a bad friend who didn't bother remembering the exact date of her birthday, or who didn't bother getting the flowers delivered on time.
Also, the company's "100% customer satisfaction" they promise on their web site is hogwash. They offered me first a 15% refund (the order was about 50 pounds), and when I asked for a 50% refund, they came back with 25%. That would have been fine if the flowers had just been delayed, but I also was not notified about it, which really is terrible customer service.
Before you use this service, please read all the negative reviews here. I wish I had.
I ordered flowers for my fiance from ArenaFlowers.com, I paid, and all I got for my trust in this company was a refund, and a disappointed fiance.
I ordered roses, and a little stuffed bear to be delivered to her work. I was in California at the time, and she in UK. When I woke up the next day, there was an email, saying that they didn't have the bear. Okay, fine; no bear. I told Stephanie (the sales contact), to just refund the money for the bear, no problem. She insinuated in the email that the rest of the order was on its way. But in reality, what this Stephanie did was CANCEL THE WHOLE ORDER at the last minute! She actually thought that that was the right thing to do! Can you believe it?
A huge part of this company's business, is sending flowers, to women, from men. And this is the type of business decisions they make, in regard to that service. What a bunch of baboons! I know teenagers that make better decisions!
Needless to say I was furious. I think it was the fact that it was Friday, and Stephanie just couldn't be bothered to put in the extra three seconds to think about what was the right thing to do, so she just blew it off to make life easier for herself. Either that, or she is just a complete idiot.
This is a sad excuse for a merchandise/retail/service company...
Thanks for reading. Good luck!
I ordered flowers online for my aunt's funeral and scheduled delivery the day before just to make sure they arrived on time. To make a long story short, the flowers were never delivered, yet the company is refusing to issue a refund. They are offering sympathy flowers instead.
Avoid this company at all costs. They will end up embarrassing you.
I ordered Valentine's Day flowers for my girlfriend in Oxford. But Arenaflowers did not deliver on Feb 14. I called the customer service trying to cancel my order but the woman answering the phone was in really bad attitude. I was trying to explain my reason to cancel the order, but she kept saying it was my fault as I tried to change the delivery address on Valentine's Day (my girlfriend has another address which is easier to deliver). I specifically left my girlfriend's phone number for them to call in case any problem with the delivery but they never even try to contact us. I have already filed a formal consumer complaint with OFT.
Arena flowers not only failed to deliver the flowers on time, but also pretend that nothing happened and try to deliver on the next day thinking that we will be ok with it. But I am not ok with it this time and I am totally upset and angry because I am supposed to receive flowers on Valentine's day, not on the day after Valentine's day!!!! They just don't understand that "special occasion" is on "a specific date"! When I talked to the driver he admitted that it was his fault since he didn't call me when he can't enter the main gate for my apartment and he just left. However, when we complaint about this issue to the company, they lied, found all sorts of excuses, and even tried to blame their fault on us. Their service is the worst I have ever had, and their customer service is extremely rude. Please avoid using Arena flowers delivery at all costs.
